You can tell that this amazing man has an amazing understanding of Chopin's work. You can tell he admires and loves Mr. Chopin. Its quite adorable, and I think it adds to his performance. I love listening to him play.

"huh" lol "wheres the feeling" lol
can those who disliked this video even justify themselves for not liking this? unless they are just the mindless, uncultured people that "popular" media has brainwashed them to become.
I'd have to disagree with that; some people just don't like classical music, no matter what they listen to. Grouping people and subsequently judging them based on something like their taste in music is, if you'll pardon my French, fucking stupid. I like rock, metal, pop, classic, country… which would mean I am a stuck-up, sophisticated, preppy metalhead snob from an incest-condoning backwater hicktown in the arse end of nowhere, based on popular stereotypes.
@EpicFailHat pretty/sophisticated and incest-conditioning/backwater/hicktown are oxymorons in the same sentance when describing an individual.
but yes, music one listens to is a bit representative to their mental states. If you listen to bay area hip hop and think it's beautiful music, for example, you're probably not a very beautiful person (on the inside).
@Arfat thats not actually true, it also depends on the persons upbringing if the music relates to them they will listen to it and love it, maybe classical music just isn't some peoples cup of tea. everybody is different i could listen to this all day, hip hop, and rock even country and bluegrass and feel the same way. because each genre relates to me in different ways. maybe some people just havent found the connection between them and classical music.
@SuperSenpaiMKZ I must say I agree 100% with. I have felt that way with my music taste as well. My friends look at me like I'm going crazy when I listen to this. Well, my grandmother only listen to classical music and wired her house with speakers to blare it through the house. People need to remember everyone does not have to like the same thing.
@Arfat Exactly my point. If people were to judge people by their music tastes, you'd end up with that clusterfuck up there. (Again, pardon my French).
What the fuck is "Bay Area Hip Hop"? San Fransisco Bay? I don't know these things, I'm from goddamn Scandinavia.
Please. If what music I listened to was a representative of my mental state, I would end up with the above oxymoronic (yes, that's a word, hard as it is to believe) group of adjectives. Congratulations on missing the point completely.
come fa a suonare chopin come bach!!!!è impossibile che non provi niente quando suona, specialmente pechè questo è uno tra i più belli....è solo tecnica.
@boyway2603 he plays IN the chopin style... (or Romantic style if you like)... he loves chopin haha....maybe that's why he got the gold prize for chopin competition!
Yundi li has all the elements of a real pianist.. carisma, technique, musicality, interpretation and i can go on and on.. he was just the perfect choice to win the chopin competition in 2000. Unlike other pianists, he doesn't provoke the person watching his performance with wierd faces.. he is so natural. This what talent is all about.. Bravo Mr Li.. Bravo..!
I love how light and expressive Yundi Li's playing is. It's very hard to maintain the lightness and technique this guy has. Especially in his Fantasie Impromptu video.
shit, i eman seriously how could chopin has all this talent? he wrote like a lot of pieces!! and,,, gr,, really..amazing human abilities..they are piece og god :D
Yes I like Li Yundi a lot more than Lang Lang. He's more subtle and his technics are good. Every note is crisp, clear and more understated. Lang Lang gives me a bad headache and eyeache. :(
