Wikipedia allows anyone to input data, its unreliable. Ive been watching this technology develop for about two years, thats exactly how it is done, you twat! I apologize about saying they were blu-ray disks exculsively, this process can be done to any digital disk.
about the 200gb blu ray disks, thats done with genetically altered bacteria that store energy. as far as I know they can be put on any disk. The problem is getting a thin enough laser to read it.
those are only experimental Blu-ray Disc so i dident count them. The theoretically limit of a blu-ray disk is about a 100Gb (which is the Dual layer capacity)
So What everyone thinks, Blu-Ray does hold more storage once everyone sees that PS3 and Blu-Ray Players with the Blu-Ray disc 25GB 50GB is better than HD-DVD 25GB especially when everyone is backing up Blu-Ray making more DISC, Burners, Players. And I just read in three years they will stop making DVDs.
Heres the thing about Blu-ray, it gives you the same High-Def Quality as HD DVD, but the Sony PS3 has Blu-ray built in it for you, so u save alot of money on Blu-ray bu buying a PS3, where as the xbox 360 HD DVD drive, u have to buy extra, its not included with the xbox 360 system.
Well, after doing 2 quick searches on eBay I find that the PS3 costs about $400 (used) while if you're gonna buy a 360, I found an auction with a Premium 360, 2 controllers, steering wheel, 5 X360 games, 3 Xbox games, 2 HDD movies and a HD Drive for only $150.
So I'd say going HD on a 360 is actually MUCH cheaper than with for the PS3. + the 360 has games worth playing, unlike the PS3.
his is a true thing that happens! its not a chain letter! its kinda scary at first but it really works!! paste this message into 3 comments and press ALT F4 and your crushes name will appear on the screen!!! its soo wierd
So DVDs never existed and backups were never made on tapes, great.
Beside of that 1 floppy = 1.4 MB, that's 0.0013671875 GB, and it is enough to store thousands of text pages, using microsoft word, open office, latex, whatever.
omg what a load of crap. all the drm in the sony(rootkit) blu-ray means once you backup you cant access it ever again. no companies will use this format ever "tape ftw"
