  • Was listening to Deltron 3030, then clicked on this, then opened the drawer from my computer desk and found the book Neuromancer.

Weird, but I now know how to spend tomorrow.

  • One of my favourite games from back in the day when the "Internet" was a dial-up to FidoNet. :)

  • someone should redo this game and bring it to the 21st centuary with better graphics , voice overs and music using WINTERMUTE the adventure game engine

  • Great game! Very intense and exciting ending.....the only problem is - this game is really tough to solve/beat without hints. One of the TOP games I have ever played. In fact, some of the A.I. you can bypass by outsmarting them.

  • I once wrote a code-cracker in python for this game... lol

  • Pretty cool... but... all that time, and not once does the floating face say, "YOUR HEAD A SPLODE"???

  • Could only say this for about 1 year in 1989/90 - the best version of this was on the C64, which is why I have it for my Commodore 64 system!

  • im play on neuromancer on c64 :) great game, btw

  • neuromancer aus habbo?

  • what platform is this on please?

  • I don't know what this person is playing it on, but Neuromancer is for DOS, Apple II, Apple IIGS, Amiga, and the Commoder 64. I've played it with a DOS emulator called DOSBox. If you want to play the game, I'd suggest getting DOSbox. You can just Google it.

  • Yes, it was played with DOSbox.

  • One of the best RPGs ever.

  • Very much like the later Shadowrun adaptation on Genesis. (Shadowrun absolutely ripped everything off Gibson, but added elves and dwarves and orcs and magic. Gave him no credit.)

  • If you want to play this game, I would suggest downloading the Commodore version which, surprisingly, has much better graphics and sound.

  • I just downloaded it!

  • I had this game for the C64. It made no sense to me whatsoever.

  • That's pretty bad.

  • Ironically faithful.

Still, we need an effing remake.

  • is it a pc game?

  • It was multi-platform, I used to play it on C-64.

It also came out for pc, Amiga, Apple IIe.

  • Greatest game of all time, and the novel was pretty good too, lol. They better not F up the movie.

  • I'm 65 pages into the book, looking at the game it looks pretty good. I agree, better not mess the movie up. Theres a pretty cool title screen up here on youtube too Neruomancer 2009 Maintitle with the author as DocAdder. I guess it's coming out in 2011. =( best that they don't rush it though.

  • @dingledorf1 lmao! what a coincidence. i'm at 65 pages myself.

  • @XbirthdayXmassacreX What did you think? I ended up bringing it up so often with my crew that 4 of them bought it and read it too haha! Finished Count Zero last summer and am into Mona Lisa Overdrive atm! YEAH! It's getting difficult to keep track of all the names tho lol

  • @dingledorf1 lol i stopped reading it. not that it wasn't good, i found what i read really interesting. but i was too busy and i plan to continue another time.

  • was this made a long time ago?

  • 1990.

  • thanks man.

  • This game needs to be remade. I hope they make one alongside the new movie adaptation.

  • Why don't you remade this game?

  • Well, I am remaking the game in spirit, I am currently developing a cyberpunk game with an original storyline, music, cutscenes, etc. but it won't be based on Gibson's novels.

  • @PhoenixWakeStudios

    Right. The movie adaptation.

  • thx for posting this without music. I like the old tracks, but neuromancer's sound was kinda out of tune.

  • Cool video. But there should be music.

  • Now you can watch it with music. Click on video answer.
