@raficsulejmanovic No doubt....but they didn't do it "because" they were atheists. Do you think that if you lost your faith today, that you would start doing horrible things to people? I bet not. There have been millions of atheists before those asshats & millions since that haven't done such horrible things. As a matter of fact, you only have to look at the world's two biggest philanthropists to see that, Bill Gates & Warren Buffet. Priests claim to believe in god don't they? Nasty things?

@raficsul, "don't see my argument"? You argue that those dictators you mentioned murdered millions because they were atheists, right? I don't see YOUR argument there. What evidence do you have that they murdered people "for atheism"? I suggest you look at crime rates of countries that are secular or mainly atheist. Crime rates are much higher in religious countries like the U.S. & the middle east (rape/murder). What was Tim McVeigh? Were the 9/11 terrorists atheists? I think not.

@raficsulejmanovic Marx and Lenin have no place next to Mao, not even close. Marx and Lenin were brilliant intellectuals and philosophers, not murderous dictators.

@raficsulejmanovic communism, is an ideology, it have its doctrines and taken to seriously without thinking. Much like the dogma of religion, ever noticed most communist countries have their leaders much like god, thought police, no opposing ideas, despotic, etc, etc. Now think again.

@bodeezy I've never met an "evil" one, largely because I don't really believe in good or evil as absolutes, being a moral relativist...I've met borderline militant atheists who have physically assaulted people for believing in a God, I've met atheist extremists who, were they ever to come into a position of power would have little issue destroying churches and such and killing anyone who tried to hold onto their beliefs. Most of us aren't like that, but extremists of any stripe can be horrific
