accents are cool, don't get me wrong, but why does everyone get so up in arms about them? so american aren't great with irish accents...b/c we're not irish. doesn't mean we can't have some fun. and i've never heard americans gripe about the awful imitations of our accents. why? because they're not american...why should i expect them to do perfect accents and capture the subtle difference between east and west texas, or georgia from midwest? chill yo. just go easy.

I think that last question really show's what a good actor he is. He doesn't just go into any film and like he said, he keeps it diverse. This is why he is the best actor (In my opinion) And my favourite actor as well. Not to mention his movies turn out AMAZING.

Its funny. Heath's accent you could tell was Aussies, but with Cillian with an Irish..its kinda of hard to tell unless you hear him talk. you know.

I lived in the states for a few months and even people i became great friends with were unwittingly patronising. lets just say any Irish accents performed by american actors in films have been shocking. its just not the way we speak. and not one of the people who tried to imitate the accent to me while i was there was anywhere near close either

Where I live we have a commericial with an "Irishman named Paddy" who's an actor that's obviously never heard a real Irish person in his life...I've only been to Ireland once, but I knew no one could actually sound like that.

There are ppl in Ireland same as other countries where a lot of ppl cant understand it depends on the area of the country also some parts the accents is much more thick He is def. talking with that irish accent but I have heard some really to the point where you have to pay attention
