This show was pretty good. It was way better than the movie in 1998. But I still think The original Godzilla's the best. If Zilla jr. did fight Godzilla, Godzilla would have the advantage. Godzilla's fought pretty agile, speedy monsters in his time, and always come to the top. He's also indestructible. Nothing can kill him. Zilla Jr. is fast, can shoot atomic breath ,and can climb buildings, but Godzilla will somehow always find a way to beat Zilla.

I don't think people realize...a lot of naysayers, anyway, that the second American Godzilla was far tougher than the one we saw in the live action movie. Thing took more abuse in this series and showed more power than the first Zilla would in 10 movies. And he doesn't always run AWAY from the army... THAT is what the problem with the 1998 Godzilla was. They turned the king of all monsters into a 'wuss' who could 'only' withstand 6 missiles and a torpedo.

Though I really dislike the American Godzilla movie, these series were better, many ways similar to the Japanese.

The main difference is the fact that "Zilla" is a LOT more vulnerable than Godzilla, and the American is ALMOST always the good guy, not like the oroginal which played the bad guy role more often.

I'd say Zilla movie < Zilla series </= average Godzilla movies < (and of course) excellent Godzilla movies.

The series was better then the entire 1998 movie. Just my opinion but it was closer to the original. Also this was an apology from Tri-Star to Toho an G-fans for the mess of the 1998 film.

Thankfully there's a ''American Godzilla Reboot'' on the way. Hopefully it'll be an actual Godzilla film. I didn't hate the 98 film just wasn't Godzilla at all, more like beast from 20,000 phathoms.

Zilla will never come back though, Toho owns the right's to that monster an had it destroyed in final wars.
