Hi, is this system your own creation? Is there any historical mention or illustrations of this sort of practice or exercises? I'm very curious because I research European martial arts and have never come across anything like this. It resembles, slightly, something more akin to Tai Chi. Thank you, please respond.
@7The7Green7 It reminds me of karate's ju kata, but I'd guess it's more an excercise in getting used to staying focused while people are swinging sticks nearby, probably three parts entertainment too. I imagine it would look rather impressive and deadly done at close to a fighting speed.
Are you guys Morris Dancers? Where's the hankies? Reading back through these comments, I had no idea Morris Dancing was such a spiritual thing. Unity between body and mind...with bells on.
Manictwig i know plenty of fat guys and probably girls who could kick shit out of you, believe me i am not fat just look at my vids if you are desperate enough for proof. You seem to miss the main focus of martial arts.. FITNESS OF THE MIND. Which you so obviously lack. Martial arts is about self defence and unity of the body and mind, not being a super athlete.
I agree, however it comes with practise. Once you start martial arts, instantly you are not fit and strong. That is the point of practise. TO work to physical and mental fitness. These guys are just videoing their practice.
kenjutsu is better =P

Fitness of the mind and fitness of the body tend to go hand in hand when concerning martial arts.
