I was midway through high school, which would place it about 1963 or 64 give or take a year. In the large Carnegie hall. i came alone by bus that night from New jersey. Dont remember what else was on the program. But i did like the catchy title. If not mistaken, I believe I'v e seen another piece not too long ago called visions fugitifs, possibly a much earlier work by another composer, maybe even French classical.

Rubenstein performed a set of these on his Carnegie concerts, ca. 1960, as well (competing with Richter?), which has been a favorite recording of mine for 35 years.
