Sir Saeed Anwar's innings is just amazing. Love the way he times the ball. The Indian crowd has been really lucky. I also enjoy the disputes pakistani's fans and we have on cricket. The game becomes so much more interesting. The bad part is when we start getting aggressive (verbally) about it.

4) Sachin's 200 is far better than Sehwag's and Anwar scores because it was made against a quality bowling of SA (Steyn, Morkel etc.) whereas Anwar's knock was against modest Indian bowling attack (therefore most Paki batsmen had good runs against Indians in 90s).

I heard a lot about this knock but when I watched it some points were so obvious.
1) Saeed Anwar was playing Indian fast bowlers w/o helmet showing that how much slow Indian bowlers were.
2) It is a highly over-rated knock as it does not seem pleasing to eye. Saeed Anwar had more or less same batting technique as other Pakistan batsmen (baseball style, playing in air), nothing special.
3) He took runner only after 50 runs (for what??) so he was just playing standing and no running. ctnd.(above)

Sachin have played more matches still maintained far better avg than anwar in both test & odis. In mohali the other night, the pitch was dead ( completely batting ) because Pakistan's bowling attack was strong to rip off through India's batting line up. Sachin have played more matches still maintained far better avg than anwar in both test & odis. Sachin avg last year is 78 with1562 runs & 7 hundreds in tests + that 200 runs vs saf so he is not just sticking around.Check stats before posting.I like anwar also but it is a fact that sachin is far better.

In mohali the other night, the pitch was dead ( completely batting ) because Pakistan's bowling attack was strong to rip off through India's batting line up. And even with such a pitch Pakistan was capable of restricting India to 260. What a shame...

in my personal view saeed is the greatest batsman of all times only 2 players can come near him, Viv richards & Brian lara, Brad man played the leagued bowlers cant say much about him sachin is a great batmsn but anwar never took pressue & the match winner I.e sachin's 49 100 in which india lost 19 mtchs sachin 9 times nervous 90, anwar's 20 100's pak won 17 times only 2 nervous 90, ANWAR CAREERS GOT ENDED SO EARLY THERE WO NO BETTER TIMER & STYLISH BATSMAN IN THE WORLD MAN

@36pratham Lol why r u racist? he didnt play 450 mtchs like him, he's played 247 mtchs he was dropped for 4 yes 1991/92/n later after loosin his daugher in 2001 til 2002cz of this his performanc got effected :/ even he got out from ordinary bowlers like prasad in the slip position n his avg went down to37 later (b4 hs retirement) he solvd his weaknes made43* in his last matc when his avg was 41+ sachin's avg was 39. if he's playd 450 mtchs (150) againts smal teams his avg wud be touchin 50+

Sachin and Saeed Anwar are different players with different batting styles..both of them are awesome in their own respect,so its better if we dont compare them..This innings had been really magnificent by Saeed Anwar!! and it was regarded as the highest individual score in ODI for a long time.

@imthemess ya he scored classic 100 in durban but why u ignoring 132 by azar mahmood in 1st inngs , why u ignoring 5 wickets haul by akhtar then 6 wickets by mustaq ahmad and he was man of the match... it was team win...
if sachin would had the kind of bowlers anwar got and team support out of his 50 100s atleast 35 would had come in victory...

@36pratham 450 mtchs miandad has played for 24 yrs jayasuria played 400+ Lol but at miandads time there were not alot of matchs yes sachin's avg is gone cz he has good batsman but anwar's 100's % was more better cz only 3 times we lost 17 times we won n he made these runs when we were loosin.. thats match winner both r good but usaid he was for club level bowlers its lame! now avg odi score is 270 there was a time when avg score was 220 cz all good bowlers have gone..

tell me then why ponting after 275 matches why ponting declined last 80 , 90 matches his avg dropped from 43 to 36... and just 5 100s... why ganguly who wa sonce even faster then sachin after 240 matches ddidnt even scored single 100 and his avg in last 80 matches droped from 43 to 34...
