  • they make it look so effortless, no? bravo madz!

  • i think it is just because of the built in mic of the cam corder that's why it sounds a little muffled but it is still clean.if you'll check the other you tube video posts you'll hear it so good.the basses sounds like they have an extra testicles and sounds like sink.i remember when i sang as bass 2 in an et al concert i had a hard time hitting the lower re(d) i heard a cow n my back hit it and when i looked oh it is one member of the madz mr jojo velasco, since then i wanted to be a tenor.hehe

  • Ang cute! Hehe

  • I hail you, I'm in the COS chamber choir and we sound nothing like that, are you a perfessional choir?

  • This is a university based choir from the Philippines, so not a professional choir per se. They are however, considered to be one of the best in the world and is the only choir in history to win the EGP twice. They are also the most decorated choral choir in Asia. So for all intents and purposes, based on their body of work and accomplishments, they could be considered a "pro" choir.

  • @uberathlete I think they get paid -- which makes them pro? instead of amateurs? LOL

  • @uberathlete Not to offend or anything of the sort, it used to be a university-based choir, then known as UP Madrigal Singers. By the time this competition was held, it had already changed its name to Philippine Madrigal Singers. Now, it is based in the Cultural Center of the Philippines and has been successfully conducting concerts in the Philippines and abroad. Therefore, I think it is already a professional choir by the time it changed its name.

  • yes they are...recorded songs in the Philippines for decades usually classicals.

  • Goosebumps at the end!

    Woooh! Excellent!

  • There is a choir in Thailand that has its members seated in a familiar semi-circle like that of the Madz... I found out it is headed by Filipino madz Alumnus Alfred John De Veyra

    The Voices Bangkok

  • the correct song title for this madrigal song is "Revecy Venir du Printans." All Hail the Philippine Madrigal Singers!

  • Gielo, "Revecy Venir du Printans" doesn't French words at all. "revoici venir du printemps" is the right one. It means "On the way here for Spring" or something like that. My french is not that good:) - FYI

  • hello..just to set facts straight..."Revecy Venir du Printans" or "Revecy Venir du Printemps" are also accepted. If I am not mistaken these are Old French texts set by de Baif himself (the poet) before it was revised by scholars when the French language changed eventually over the years. "Revoici Venir du Printemps" is now its 'popular' name. No offense meant, just keeping facts straight :)
