I recently used Songbird, Realplayer, MediaMonkey and JetAudio to compare them with Winamp but i must say Winamp is by far the best. It looks and sounds great and it's fast and solid. The Southcast radio stations are excellent.

There is one thing I would like some help with. I need help with my wave settings- the audio levelling. This did not happen with windows media player or Itunes, but it is currently happening in Winamp. The audio is levelled out and quietened where it shouldn't be, and I don't want it to be. It's terrible. Does anyone know how to fix this? Cause I have been everywhere, in preferences too, of course..

I got winamp, but My media library is absolutely empty.  There's nothing there or any kind of menu. The only thing on the bottom is Media Library Preferences and Help. Nothing else is working! Help!!

can anyone help me.. i downloaded winamp yesterday and though it was great.. was playing music fine.. then i closed it and re opened it about 1 hour later and it was fucked up.. wouldnt play any music.. would just flick through the songs i had and wouldnt play them .. its annoying now so.. help?

your music files should be in your computer (in the folder that you selected the music you put to your media)

and as much as possible internet should be connected

Wtf is wrong with Winamp? I'll install the program, and it will run fine for a couple weeks, then out of no where, for NO reason at all, all my songs fastforward, and I can't stop them from fast forwarding, I restart the program, and play a song, and it goes through a 5 minutes song in 2 seconds, I don't hear anything played either..

I've tried it on multiple computers with the EXACT same thing, and it seems like I'm the only person that has this issue, but it's frustrating.

From today my song text scroll from left to right then comes back from right to left and then again from left to right... while before it just went from left to right and circle.

It's probably not the format. Winamp isn't compatible with most video formats like avi.

@squillysk8 I use winamp basically for music. Try Power DVD 9 for viewing videos. It's amazing the way movies look on it. It makes you feel like you are there.

man i love Winamp, way better than windows media player. This program doesnt take that much of cpu power, my cpu is like idle when im playing music. not like windows media player, it uses 30% of the cpu to play songs.

however i dont want a playlist i just want it in the audio section.

I now know how :D ! The left edge of the winamp window should have a tab that includes stuff like library, videos, playlists etc. Just roll the left end open with your mouse.
