  • Bah, your graphic is wrong or intentionally misleading. 40' perimeter square is 10' per side.

    You showed the circle having the same diameter as the square base, 10' but that would mean its perimeter would only be a little over 31', not 40'. To get 40 foot perimeter of a circle, would be 12.7' or so in diameter, 27% wider.

  • Domes have more internal volume per outside surface area, thus more inside room with less exposure to the climate extremes. I believe you meant "Domes have less surface area  Less surface area means less loss or gain of heat through exterior walls."
