  • This is an awsome piece of music.I liked the band and the performance, except the tempo in places that were too fast for me that I couldn't hear what was played to enjoy.Over all I loved it and wished that the whole piece could have been played.I have a recording by the Salvationist Band under Dr. Cobbs directions. Thanks You tube.

  • i played this at TYB

  • There are many things good about this performance but also many negatives to go along side it (most notably the tuning issues in the lower band). There are several wrong entries also and generally the performance is untidy. On the plus side the band have a good sound and some fantastic solist (cornet and baritone). Strong trombone section also goes in your favour.

  • A good performance none the less but much more use of dynamics. The opening is marked p for a reason! Also watch clarity of notes in the faster sections of the music and watch for wrong entries (there are a few) Bravo soloist's and strong trombone and percussion section to boast. Watch tuning on ends of phrases also.

  • Awesome piece!

  • Best test piece ever. And such a great rendition. The standard of banding in Europe is so good now. Thanks heaps for the post.

  • My pleasure. I hope a lot of people enjoy the video!
