  • i know a little bit of painting and I really really want to master painting wild and big waves...this video helped a lot...thank you.

  • Guys, guys, it's not too hard. It's like this.

To draw waves, first paint some squiggly lines

Then, finish the rest of the fucking waves.

  • why don't you go to art school.

  • Thanks for having this video posted. This is so useful for my son's improvement in painting waves. Ang galingtalaga!

  • as amazing as your painting is.. we looked this up to learn HOW to paint.. please please please can you do a tutorial... i really need to learn how to paint and fast.. i can already paint but i use a different style so i need to do the more naturalistic style now... please help!!!

  • If you were to sell this painting, how much would you sell it for?

    Please answer !

  • Now I'm going to go of and attempt that and it's going to look like a little kid did it then I'm going to feel bad add some strokes here and there and call it abstract. Bye.

  • this was a complete waste of time i see tons of pics but i wanna learn how to paint it not see the finished thing ..... i can easily go to a gallery

  • Comment removed

  • phenomenal

  • That final product is simply amazing

  • Thank you very much, I like it...

  • i didnt learn anything

  • @jeanmunn then what technique is this cuz i would like to know?

  • Although I did post on this particular clip it seems that it has been removed but in any event I shall post my opinion again.

I purchased both videos ( Painting the Breaking Wave and The Wild Sea ) to put the pallet together you need a total of seventeen colours.

The tones and shades are very difficult to match, for the most part to match the colours is nothing but trial and error for any student.

As a learning tool these videos are vague at best and difficult to follow for anyone.

  • is more techniques than the wet on wet technique like bob ross?

  • is more techniques than the wet on wet technique like bob ross?

  • i swear to god my jaw dropped when i saw the finished image!!! WOW

  • just amazing. I definitely appreciate any sort of demonstration, regardless of the length. I found that i am a really analytical person and artist and just being able to see a brief demo and a finished product is a massive help. Thank you so much!

  • you got skills

  • well its nice that he can paint the ocean but I still can't

  • YOU HAVE GOD GIVEN TALENT!!!!!!!

    thank you for the vid!

  • Thanks for the tip

  • it looks very real,I am scared of that sea!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH... :)

  • This is genius - what a beautiful painting. You really need oodles of patience but the outcome is astonishing.

  • Beautiful. I wish I could learn to paint like that.

  • WOW!!!!!

  • Oh my god! This is incredible!!!! Gorgeous work!!

  • I'd like to see how you got the transparent look on top of the wave.

  • nice work thats really pretty

  • who would have thought we would ever watch art on youtube, awesome. visit artbylocals. com to find some more cool art online.

  • Diamondapple100. You mentioned food coloring with water. That would make a transparent right? Maybe good for the crest of a wave.

  • the main video show absolutly everything, from mixing the colours, wave and foam patterns, right from start to finish.. there is even a torrent of this file for those who dont want to pay but i downloaded the torrent and thought it was so good i paid for the original

  • this vid is by byron pickering... it is well worth the money to go and buy.. why should someone give away their hard earner knowledge for free??

  • cuz im from the hoodz at night

  • Oh thats just pang.

  • that was so amazing! i've always had trouble with waves.

  • I think i could learn to paint like that, after practising 240 years or so.

  • i think too taht u could learn paint like that, after max 1 year ;) trust me

  • very beautiful painting

  • vERY NICE VIDEO... FIVE STARS

  • It's very cool, but I disagree with your saying it should be something. To you it should be, to others mabey not.

  • amazing. is that easy to do?

because you guys make it look so simple

  • hell no oil painting is very hard to work with if you dont know how to :S

  • i know how to do it:P

  • exactly. tha painding itself when its ready it looks hard to do but when u do it it not so hard

  • With me, it isn't necessarily painting in of itself, it's coming up with the idea, getting the image formed in my head. I usually can figure out what I need to do to actually paint it pretty easily after that.

  • insane! great!

  • what do u say to somethng like that??? this is incredible

  • These are so beautiful! I wish i could create a picture with waves like this?

  • beautiful green color

  • thank you : ]

  • hello, mr. painter. Can i use cooking oil instead of linseed oil. (lol, but am serious) i really want to use my oil paint but there's no linseed available here.

  • Just use ready made oil paints in tubes and dilude it with terpentine. Been a professional painter for years and never did anything else. For landscape painting you need; zinq white (al lot) Indian yellow cadmium yellow ultramarin bleu (mixed with indian yellow or cadmium yellow you'll get leaf or grass green) burnt omber black For seacape painting you don't need Indian yellow but just add Prussian blue and veridian green to your paints collection. That's all you need for paint.
  • wow! OMG

  • A very nice painting but far too short to learn very much.

Would certainly have been useful to have seen the structure of the waves being formed.

Thank you for posting though. :)

  • Very pretty waves, really realistic!

  • good work

  • I had seen the image on the web, but now seeing how it is done is very similar to the technique that imagined, sensitivity and a sense applied makes the move a natural perpectiva proportional to the depth and field of view, this is an image alive ! Technical wonderful.

  • Thanks for your comments. A testimonial to Byron and his desire to assist and help others learn and develope the gifts of art.

  • to view Byrons art work on youtube go to Seascape Art Gallery or cre8zeke

  • oh my god that picture was amazing!

  • les tons et les couleurs sont cool

  • realy nice..so cool i like..it..i wish i could immitate some of your techniques..tnx

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think you forgot the middle part of the instruction, which I was on the edge of my chair waiting for.

  • Very Nice! Beautiful painting!

  • Quite beautiful. Even though it's a demo for a website that instructs on this subject, I think the demo could have been a little longer. Excerpts showing stages in progress and filling out the areas blocked in white would give a better picture on the transition. Besides that, the lighting and audio are very clear and enjoyable to watch.

  • Witch one is better water or oil paint?

  • That depends of your preference. They both have differing effects and beauty. Byron has chosen oil for his work. There are some wonderful watercolor artists as well. It is interesting to work with acrylics, too.

  • @Bocarandasteve i pro artist i prefer oil cause u can work better with it u have more time for it dries slower. i think watercolors are for kids

  • Thank you for being here.

  • beautiful green color any longer videos

  • wtf?? that was too short..

  • thankssss
