I'm a Honda Lover...but I have to admit the newer Yami's are taking the cake in the Engine department. The newer Honda's are still easier to ride though...Yami needs to work on the suspension. Honda has always and always will be a better all around Bike Polished to perfection. Yamaha put all their efforts in the engine and let the rest of the Bike go to the waste side, it shows in the lack of suspension and cheap front forks.

Honda make good bikes, but they are ugly, Yamaha makes Great bikes, and look like an Eagle, so what if Yamaha makes piano, thats just the way it work, rich people need to find different way to make more money, Yamaha number one in piano and number 1 on bikes, it runs in the family.

i agree ... and disagree. haha. i used to own a 2003 R1 but recently got my hands on a 2005 repsol 1000 rr and im tellin ya ... the yamaha bikes are much more torque driven, but you can throw hondas around corners like nothing. i think that honda makes some of the most nimble stable bikes period. (dont think i dont miss the yamaha though, you could pop the front tire up at 140kmph eeaasssyyyy,) something you cant do quite as easily with the 1000 rr

Bottom line. Both bikes are rockets str8 out the box. Some say Honda & Most will say Yamaha but when it come to performance......I have 2 give it 2 the R1 (from the stand point) of less weight and handling ability and lets not 4get what the (R) stands for okay ladies? "RESPECT!"
