@benschmidt92 you could probably get that for cheaper, i just got the dual kicker cvr loaded enclosure for 299, got a hifionics amp for 150, and got an amp kit for 85. i even got a capacitor for 35-40. i installed it myself and saved a ton of money. now if youre talking head unit and speakers as well, then yeah, probably around 900-1100, depending on quality.

it should be right around what you need. i had to pay a little extra because i had to get a custom box to fit in my car but it just depends on the wiring and price of head unit also.

go for 2 RE SE 12inch they r like 300 each plus a box and amp u need like 1000 bux as long as u got a good headunit.... 1200 if u dont... to replace that.... but i recpommend the RE SE

yeah man its hard a ported box isn't too bad...but the best way to go is custom i now have a 12inch L7 and i had drive in auto sound make a custom box and it fits pretty good...all i had to do was put the box in first and then load the subwoofer...my suggestion would be to go to a professional...or start disassembling your back seat assembly and do it that way...

hey if u turn the box around and face the subs 2wards the front of the car and lay down your back seat(u probably have a 60 40 split or 50 50 split seat in that chevy) that system will hit harder and cleaner than it already does.

well thats were u are wrong. leave the subs facing the back and fold down the seats and there will be a difference. thats why when you go to a competition and go into a stock class you are stock or modified. modified meaning your seats forl down or you have some sort of port going into your car from the trunk.

I am a mobile electronics installer and I have Installed both,but really it depends on what series sub you want.If you go with MTX DO EITHER THE 8500 SERIES OR MY FAVORITE THE 9500.If its kicker go with the CVX, L5, OR THE L7.

no it should do fine depending on the amp. take mine for example...my amp is going out now cuz ive had it for a while actually and it won't push my subs as good so i have to turn it down sometimes but if its a good amp it will do just fine and have your sub poundin with ease
