  • ya my freind said "oh cops are starting to us chargers more" im like no u dumb ass cops dont want shit

  • @danwat1234 A hybrid powertrain will increase the price of the vehicle ost likely making it more expensive than the competition and it will also require more maintenance.

  • i want one... how much is it???

  • Has even a single police department even purchased this?

  • Is it made in China?

  • Does anybody know current status of cars - are these only concepts, or any PD's will get it soon?

  • I will miss the crown victoria Like i miss the ford Bronco

  • Bring back the CROWN VICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Need For Speed The Run brought me here

  • I wish they'd kept the crown vic in service. A truly amazing car. Why didn't they do an upgrade on the Crown Vic's instead of getting rid of them. So keep that amazing looking body, keep the RWD but upgrade the equipment available etc, and upgrade the suspension and get some more power out of that engine. The Crown Vic is one my favorite all time cars, but Ford amazes me. How can they only get 250bhp out of a car with a 4.6 liter V8. I love the Crown Vic, I drive one in every game I can :)

  • I'm sure police will feel great driving what ford has practically made into a minivan for their duties.

  • I wish I could buy a Ford CV or an Interceptor for private use in germany :(

cv for daily and interceptor for chrismas time

  • It funny how there showing this video like we can buy one. Lol

  • the police Explorer needs to have an eco-boost v8

  • Why does the sedan look like a toyota corolla? and the SUV looks like a mix between the escape and something else

  • I guess this means anyone can now purchase the police special order version of the SHO Taurus and the new Explorer. Following in the footsteps of the old P71 Crown Victoria, "Impala SS" version and the 9C1 Old Chevy Nova. Great cars all......because their built for the extreme duty..........making them an ideal civilian car.

  • I'm sorry, I just could not take a cop serious if he/she were to pull me over in that thing..

  • To all you crown victoria homos, ford explorers were the #1 used police vehicles during the mid to late 90's. Y? Because they were the best, not crappy pieces of aluminum rigged shit like the crown vics. The explorer may not look the "illest" or the "sickest" but it's definitely does the job and does it well.

  • @Guitarfollower22 maybe the american police should use bmw 3 and 5 series?

  • @Guitarfollower22

Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @Guitarfollower22 how is a crown vic' aluminum rigged shit '? Those cras go 280 Kp/h

  • @glitch123heydude yes my fwend. a honda civic si can only do 230kp/h but its way more agile than that american v8. its also not just about top speed but also about how fast it can actually get there. would u rather have a car that can go from 0-120 in 8 seconds? or a car that can do 0-160 in about 30 seconds?

  • @CaptainnKickAss 0-120 8 secs and 0-160 30 secs are different, but no car THESE days are that slow.

  • @glitch123heydude the hybrids are pieces of shit when it comes to racing lawlzz.. also just to correct you 280kp/h is an overstatement, that would mean the car is doing over 140mph which is not possible thanks to the governments computer system which stops ze car from accelerating any higher than 140mph/225kp/h. lollzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZzZzZZZZZzzZzZZAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz

  • @CaptainnKickAss Um, a cop car can go as fast as it wants. And how is a crown vic alumimum rigged shit?

  • @CaptainnKickAss I have been in several cars that do over 140. Been in them while doing it. Where do you live and when was this computer system mandated. The newest car I have been in doing it was a 09 Vette.

  • @frantic29 I live in the USA! WOOHOO! By the way i just made up a lot of lies, made them sound educated and true to win the argument i had with glitch132heydude. Lol i might be a great politician someday eh

  • @Guitarfollower22 and you know this car is a Taurus. An Ford Explorer is a SUV.

  • @Guitarfollower22 But hey, the explorer is designed to 'explore' not to chase. That's why they (ford) made a stronger car, The CROWN Victoria, crowned to do it's job.

  • @glitch123heydude lol it broke all the day, all the parts were shit, hell the DeLorean was probably a better interceptor

  • @Guitarfollower22 DeLorean was a F1. I guess it would work... But anyway I am a rookie cop and my crown vic is A-ok. But we will get this car soon (woohoo)

  • slow acc but i think they still want more buyers but most cop want to be quick and fast and strong And mostly all police are sticking with the charger and the new one has any one seen the new charger police holy fuck its 6.4 liter v8 w 450-60 ish cause their modified and wont say how fast it is. :/

  • Wow even more police...ughhh that means more speeding tickets for me

  • they should have a dodge durango and new charger pair of cop cars

  • My step dad has a regular limited version of this and it totally hauls ass

  • the back seat is padded :D

  • Must... have... ... ...

  • Its going to be better offroad vs. 4wd but i doubt it will keep up on highways.

  • wouldnt it be sweet if he pulled up that compartment in the back and there was a whole bunch of ak47s and grenades and m16s and commandos and flashes and should i go on?

  • @Spike579

    Yes.

  • THIS CARS REPLACE TO FORD CROWN VIC. IN 2012

  • @PoliceDepartment9192 I do realize this. I just think that on the bump bar is a terrible place to put lights.

  • My civic could outrub thoughs...and thats sayin something

  • that taurus looks so gawddamn similar to the camry in the front

  • out where i am, we still have broncos and cherokees, and the station just got its first charger.... yeah.. small town, pretty slick setup guys, ford has definately come along way from the first ford "exploders" (if you dont know what i'm talking about google Ford Explorer Fuelsystem Recalls)

  • @AdverbAdjective wow! slow down there little dude...I was just stating what happened, but I see you are busy trolling, so I leave you alone.

  • I ownder if they will explode upon a 20mph impact, trapping the officers in a fiery death like the Ford cop cars did? Way to go, Ford.

  • @analyzingfunny that problem has long been addressed, crown vic' s are some of the safest cars ever made,i know its solve because we've had a few cop cars in my county hit hard in the ass and no fireball, even a taxi went over an overpass into the road below and the person survived,FORD is no joke they make awesome cars and trucks.

  • [continued] g, there fast with the dodge engine, but the average officer cant handle that much power and it's expensive. The windows are also very small and inhibit the officers view. All in all, it's sad they discontinued the vic, it will always be a great police vehicle.

  • These cars are BAD ASS! the SUVs are already showing up in my city. There all black and don't hav the light bar. So people speed by them then BAM! theres lights everywhere on that dam car. As for the Charger, it honestly is a shitty police vehicle. The inside is ridiculously cramped. Not to mention gettin a criminal in the back is a bitch. They break down easily, and unless they have the proper engine in em (which most don't, unless there interceptors) they aren't fast enough. Don't get me wron

  • i bet them cops can't wait to floor these things and burn em up, they'll die before they reach 50,000 miles unlike the vic nothing can take severe duty like the big bad vics

  • there not making anymore crown vics my dad has a marauder and its bad ass, if they put as much thought in the crown vic as they did wit the taurus, they would of made shit tons.

  • its Cool that they are useing AWD cars yes but.what are you going to push a round with there soft bodies and lets not for get uni bodies or monoques have crumple zones buil in to the hard points like suspension links so the first hard knock ya take and your out. Im sorry but interceptors should be rocket fast brutes that can corner and take a hit and still travel safely.

  • Is it already christmas time?

  • Man, these things are UGLY!!! I guess I'm used to the CVPI.

  • dis is our tax u idiots are spending

  • I miss Crown Vics already.. :C Only new car that "Intimidates" me is are Florida State Trooper Dodge charger 350 Horses If i remember (Correct me if I'm wrong) I miss are 1980s and 90s Mustangs and Camaros. There talking about replacing all of the Trooper Crown Vics, something about rear ending them and they "Explode" ? (Ford Pinto all over again..)

  • NFS hot pursuit

  • At least those crimminals get good back seats. Here in Dallas all police cars including charger have hard plastic rear seats.

  • LONG LIVE THE VIC!

  • @Rheticle that's cool....to bad it isn't a vic.

  • Anyone say Robocop! Everyone here is going to miss the Crown Vic! It doesn't matter where you go here in America, just about every departments have Crown Vics. I see more and more departments going to the new PPV Tahoe vs the Dodge Charger. Ford should leave a good thing alone and just build the Crown Vic for Police only. These are RWD, Body on Frame (easy to repair if wrecked), parts interchangeability. Only time will tell if these new interceptors will stand up to the almighty Crown Vic.

  • Crown Vic's burn too much fuel.

  • Cop's will be even easier to spot at night with them having Xenons now. Thank's Ford!

  • I only pull over for crown vics.

  • @0xxxcodyxxx0 And definitely not for soccer moms lol.

  • Very Good!

  • Where's 007?

  • Utility... If I hear that, I always think about a fat guy whith a dirty old van who cleans toilets.

WHY DID FORD DIDN'T MAKE A NEW CROWN VICTORIA?!

But you got to agree, the new Ford Taurus looks better then that stupid E7 Carbon Motors piece of Sh*t with a capital S!

  • @strangerberry I agree. I want to see more taurus' instead of ugly E7s, but I think its inevitable that departments are gonna get the E7 because supposedly its "much better than the others."

  • Comment removed

  • usually when i see a cop in a crown vic i get intimadated but when i see then in a Tarus or what ever it is i just wanna laugh x)

  • funtustic hahahahahah

  • 2and one from NFSHP :D

  • no matter what, america got to have the top police! it looks good man!

  • I have to wonder how well these will hold up to cop use, the CHP tried a few other cars over the years. The camrys they tried were a joke, the Volvo wasn't much better,I'm sure they'll go with the caprice if it goes through though, that or the charger.

  • Fuck the police!

  • the only good thing about a police car.....is not 2 be sitting in the back of one

  • Nice camera work!

  • What happened to the explorer at the end??? hehe

  • FAKE

  • @coolhandcanada It's real haha

  • @smashnbrawl UHH, you can clearly see, those are NOT real police cars.

  • @coolhandcanada No shit there not suppost to be real police cars those are demo units from Ford, there just showing you there police cars with the police graphics on them to make it more police like.

  • @pearldrumsarecool They are actually going to use these cars in the future.

  • @smashnbrawl Yeah I know, this guy must have thought this was real in service police cars, these are just demo units from ford to give law enforcment a little taste of the car that will soon to come out.

  • try that on ice up where i live that wont work too well.

better yet try that in Canada.

  • a charger will beat that hunk of **** any day

  • When these come in late 2011, early 2012 I will really miss Chevy police cars. Chevy Runs Deep.

  • they both look ugly as sin

  • ... scary NFS anyone?

  • Ford rules.

  • They look raw hope their here by the time I get Into law enforcement

  • Next Interceptor: Monster Truck

  • Hope they do start going to cars like this . It makes it much more easy for bikes to get away .

  • lol reminds me of need for speed most wanted

  • FUCK TOYOTA

  • that the wrong tauras which has around 265hp. the cops are supposed to be getting the the taurus sho which has around 365 hp

  • Is it a fusion? a 500 ? what 's the model/ ( CAR)

  • @kitsmiller2 Ford Taurus

  • @kitsmiller2 2010-2011 tarus

  • These new Interceptors are in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, and I love taking them out for races against the Crown Vic. Guess what? THE CROWN VIC IS BETTER IN ALL ASPECTS! It looks better, sounds better, IS BETTER!

I also like crashing the new Interceptors... Love to watch them get destroyed...

  • @FederalPolice620

Gotta agree...The Crown Vic is THE police car of police cars...Remember the old Chevy Caprice Police cars? Those were bad ass too... But the Crown Vic is Awesome...I just bought a crown vic from our local police department...They had an auction... Got to drive it BEFORE the lights and siren came off... Along with a police officer riding shotgun..Then on the way back to the station we switched places..and was involved in a chase in MY CAR :) was AWESOME!!!!

  • The new Ford Police Interceptor is a nice car, I have driven the car on Hot Pursuit, the front looks like a Ford Mondeo :P

  • good bye CV old and ugly eyes sore for years. and now new style explorer and taurus!

  • Bah, take them cushy sheets out of the back and put in some hard plastic ones that are easy to clean. And those lights on the nudge bars seem likely to break easily. I do like the Crown Vic.

  • @Twinkier1 You do know that each agency lights its vehicles differently.

  • crown vics are slow, heavy, and uses to much gas, and have a v8 motor thats under powered..pretty sad when you can find a v6 motor that has more power than there v8 and uses less gas..

  • @Brianohsocool , yeah, but when those wannabee "V8" V6's are broken down after a high speed chase, or from the weight of all the equipment, the VIC won't be such a "bad" car. There is way more to a car than just speed and power.

  • @Brianohsocool yeah, but when those wannabee "V8" V6's are broken down after a high speed chase, or from the weight of all the equipment, the VIC won't be such a "bad" car. There is way more to a car than just speed and power.

  • @theopinionnetwork You underestimate the Duratec.

  • a big heavy FWD boat, and a big heavy AWD tortoise, lol

well now all we have to do to outrun them is find some corners

  • @wgshooter hmmmmm.... im guessing you're not a ford guy... but good look with that especially with the new twin turbo ecoboost V6... EXTREMELY high torque... With the new V6, the F150 outran both the Silverado and Ram with V8s going uphill carrying 9000 lbs... and the new taurus outran the Audi A6 4.2 V8 in the quarter mile.

  • a big heavy FWD boat, well now I know I can outrun them,

and I agree everyone thinks of Crown Vics when they think of cops

  • As far as I'm concerned, Ford has just killed their true police interceptor cars with these abominations. A FWD sedan and a crossover FWD piece of crap they dare to call an 'Explorer' (the 'Asphalt Explorer' would make more sense). How wonderful. Anything to save a buck at Ford, right? And please... don't give me any of that 'innovation' and 'moving forward' crap. It's all bout cost. Production costs go down with these disposable pieces of junk, yet the sticker price at the dealer remains same.

  • I loved the ending when they were haulin' ass!

  • CrownVictoria is a symbol , but evolution is unstoppable and sooner or later we accept it , without progress , we would still live in caves . You have to adapt if you want to survive .

  • Dodge ruined the Interceptor with their stupid Chargers

  • @jcgrey hahaha, so true, they are so ugly...a challenger cop car however would rock...!! Too bad eh?

  • I don't mind getting a ticket from these awesome cars!!

  • Aww.. they are so cute. Gonna take thousands to fix them when they break and I doubt the turbos can hold up. Check the Tahoe for a true intercepter. RWD, V8, a good suspention, and easy to fix. What else do you want? Is the Tahoes 139MPH top speed not fast enough? I cant wait to see the caprices either. Ford, you made a mistake. We want the vic back..NOW!!! Just update it and get a better suspention and put the 5.0 in it ;)

  • @jshepherd28 agreed, nothing beats the VIC or 1988-1990 Chevy Caprice Classic

  • @jshepherd28 i agree, they ARE good looking, but thats not what the force needs. they need a car thats tough and powerful, and not prone to regular maintenance. turbos are the exact opposite of that. theres a whole lot of crown vics out there so parts are not the problem...and i dont know why the heck the government want new police vehicles since the actual ones are so loved

  • @superkinze The Government doesn't want new vehicles. They just take whats available. It was fords choice to take away the Crown Vic. Just because they took away the crown vic doesn't mean police dept aren't getting rid of them. There are still 2010 models that will last 4 to 5 years. Well it's hard to say because police dept get rid of them once they reach 100,000 miles.

  • @cody111495 That racks up quite quickly when you are talking about a state police agency.

  • @jshepherd28 you're crazy...more power, more fuel economy, AND more torque...but yea lets put the V8 back in the old hoopty because CHEVROLET did...haha...if Ford followed Chevrolet, they would be just as fucked over

  • @jshepherd28 Nope! The Explorer outperforms the Tahoe in every department.

  • @jshepherd28 Y'know what, I want to see you out run one.

  • @jshepherd28 i agree with u but all i wanted to say is that if a tahoe has a top speed of only 139mph im gonna outrun that bitch lol in my dodge durango 2007 Hemi 5.7L i can get at least 175 easy. plus i tuned it =p

  • @ChuckedahBEAST Nomater how fast you are you cant out run a radio.

  • @dagger197 No, but you can jam it. its very easy

  • @jshepherd28 The major customers are large cities whos officers will seldom have a need for high speed use.

  • @jshepherd28 The new 3.5 twin turbo motors are beyond tough! New cars are getting faster and faster. You need something that is going to keep up and remain stable. youtube.com/watch?v=GP6AA-qh2N0&feature=relmfu

  • 5 years later will be a piece if shit like all ford vehicles!

  • aye...all im sayin' is TWIN TURBO'd!!!......these new cars aint playin'...

  • @dtown80219 Ps is a 6Cyl. . will never be like the crown victoria!

  • Chevy Impala Is better

  • @USAirwaysrocks HAHAHA Impala? Unless you are a midget a Impala is way too small. Although the new caprices are bigger and if you are like 6'5 a tahoe would be best.

  • @jshepherd28 True I talked to the officers in my township and they said the Impala is small. I just like the look. Caprices are really nice too. Tahoe is the best Police SUV for around my area, Pittsburgh

  • @USAirwaysrocks I agree that they look good tho. I just hate the cv axles on FWD and AWD vehicles. They just cant handle the abuse. I belive that the turbos on the new fords wont hang 150,000 + miles like the crown vics do.

  • @jose well ford did stop production of the crown victoria, n it was or is gonna b replaced by the car u just saw in the vid :)

  • the crown vic will never be replaced, crown vics were made to be police cars there will never be another one like it. Chargers are quick but dont have the room the crown vics do and the Tahoes are the opposite, slow with more room.

  • Notice the rear floor opens up and there is a "police" bag.

What do they have in the "police" bag?

  • @24preacherboy looks like a spare tire

  • OMG they're speeding!! lol. The explorer interceptor looks really good but some reason I don't like that Taurus as a police interceptor cause it kind of looks like an impala but as a regular car I love it!!! now my question is, why can't they just make a brand new Crown Victoria????? kuz I think the charger looks better as a police inceptor.

  • @Neme404

It's bigger han the Impala.... by alot. Other than the Crown Vic the Taurus is the biggest thing you can buy from America.

And "Police Interceptor" refers ONLY to this and the Crown Vic. if it's a nother make or model it's not a PI.

  • when any one think of police first thing comes into your mind is crown victoria

  • @khankk2 no, whan think of police you think get on the ground don't resist

  • @anarchy4you hahahahaha well said

  • @khankk2 - Crown Vics are going out of production this year, This is about the only thing Ford builds that is sutiable for the purpose....

  • @khankk2 Now you gotta memorize these headlights

  • @khankk2 accualy the impala comes to my mind and maybe the old hudsons

  • it'll do but all i can say is long live the ford crown victoria police interceptor, if i was a little older and had more money i'd buy one right now from a department with little wear on it and have it to keep as an antique and show my grandkids 40 some odd years from now

  • @PRO50MUSTANGS how what?

  • @KingofComputing how are they going to hell

  • @PRO50MUSTANGS i have no idea what you're talking about unless i made an older comment i don't see on here?

  • @KingofComputing shit dude im sorry i meant The85scottsdale

  • @KingofComputing I have two! Love em soooo much! Both 2004 , and I would love to store them both!

  • Great, cop cars are going to hell. Thank god that conservation officers get better equipment

  • I think discontinuing the Crown Victoria both in the police version and luxury version is another of Ford's biggest mistakes every. The worst was discontinuing the original Taurus. But then again see how quickly they brought it back. The Crown Vic is elegant simplicity.

  • @OliviaSST

Yep. The Vic will be a legend.

  • @SecularTechnology Yea but it's so much more than the Crown Vic being a legend. I know Ford is trying to produce a fleet car with improved fuel economy and a lot of departments could stand to save 1,000's per year in fuel costs. But consider this, they have to buy a new cage rather then move it over and a new center console if they use one. That adds up. Not to mention a new light bar. In the day and age of the Tea Party Express which will undoubtedly lead to smaller local budgets

  • @OliviaSST

I like your style of thinking.

  • @OliviaSST Why would they need new light bars? As long as they're still functional they'll use the same ones over and over again. Its 2011 and you're just now starting to see CHP vehicles with LED light bars. Most of them are still equipped with ancient Vector light bars. Either that or they're slicktops, with interior LED lights.

  • Respond to this video... and reduce revenues from the economy I don't see may departments shelling out 27,000 for new patrol cars plus everything else. I think we'll probably see the beginning of law enforcement using re manufactured cars at 1/2 the price of a new car.

  • haha give the criminals leather seats. :) 1:01

  • I'm not a ford fan but hats off to ford, they did a nice job on these..
