@Carrigage @therealsjugjr Natural Selection was made AFTER Tremulous. Tremulous was made around the days of Quake 1. In fact, it was originally just a mod for Quake. Now it's a real game.

it is very spread out and if you want more aliens and weapons, there are many mods that add them,

KorX is one of them.

if you want a lot of people try the gpp version, or use the normal client and try a wtf server (they are the servers with just a letter as their server name)

they are almost done with 1.2 that will have improved graphics and possibly some new stuff.

@NomadNomadCZ This game has a more advanced engine for Alien vs Predator 2, but as far as Aliens vs. Predator (2010) goes, we can both see that AvP 2010 is far more supreme to Tremolous. Unfortunately devs are not as active as before (the original ones) so community is making a patch, that has been in production for 2-3 years which is just sad. I think they should make the game in Unreal 3 engine since UDK is completely free and customizable and can be run by low-end PC's if properly setup.

the tiny ones are wretches, you HAVE to start as them, the more you kill/dismantle thingss, you get more points. The more points you have, the better aliens you can evolve into. Those huge blue ones are Tyrants, the best of the best. Kinda like tanks from L4D

@NoobSnoopy Both sides have "stages". A stage is reached after a certain number of enemies are killed. Those human weapons are second or third stage, I think (it's been a while)

Nope NS came in 2002 this came in 2000 as a mod for quake 3 and in 2006 as a stand alone game while NS came in 2007 as stand alone.

This game is based on older mod called GLOOM for quake 2.

All of the games steam people play are not original.

Team Fortress was a mod for quake 1 in 1995.

Deathmatch Classic = Quake 1 Multiplayer

CS = Aq2

Day of Defeat = D'Day Normandy a mod for quake 2.

ID even helped Valve to create HL by offering them Quake 1 engine and modify it.

i think i have seen some yes. Tremulous is a very small community, and don't have too many servers, but they have up to 300 and they're dotted all over the world. there's bound to be a server you can use. and i think i have seen some aussie servers. just look for servers that you have the lowest ping on.

yeah when i first started playing i had sucky internet (redneck internet lol) until i finally upgraded to something better. it really makes a difference. but it is still playable if you have a ping of no higher than 500 average. i know a friend from Alaska that plays on servers from the continental US.
