  • Shahin is my name.

    My real name is Shahinur.

    My surename is rahman.

  • I must be lost in translation somewhere along the line. It's ironic that I have to read all the comments that are totally unrelated to the music. I would love to suggest to take your shit slinging sessions somewhere else, but I will not. In spite of the fact that most of this is totally out of context, I would like to extend my condolences to those of you that have already died, but have not yet been notified. This Music is brilliant, enjoy, peace and my love to all!

  • la musica es un bien universal y no tiene nada que ver con los tintes politicios o regimenes que afecten a cualquier pais, nacion o estado

  • To all the ethnocentrists:

The best years of Arab and Persian civilization was when they were working together...

  • LOL thumbs up if you think its hilarious watching political debates on completely unrelated youtube videos...

here's two cents of reason which will probably fall on deaf ears, but for everyone else:

@mussawi 1001 nights is a compilation of stories from Arabia, Persia, India and basically all over the place. Explain why the narrator ('shcherezade' or SHARZAD!!!) has a persian name if the compilation is "purely arabic" whatever that means...

  • @famemonster1993 hmmm, maybe in your dreams or after drugs!! You better read some history, so start with Mesopotamia, that was Iraq remember?? but sure you won't admit that because they kicked your out after stealing their lands! you were the thieves & still till now.

  • I like the music very much but, I don't like relating the title 'One Thousand & One Nights' to anything Persian as it's purely ARABIC!!!

but I won't be surprised if a Persians claim that too as they are still in haze with their 3000 years empire!!

  • наша персия))))))))))))))

  • to those of you who are confused: The story of 1001 nights was written by an arab author, but INVENTED by Persians. Although it is quite hard to distinguish truth from fiction, historians are pretty sure that the story of Shahrzad was based on true events. The stories in this book are all Persian, Mongol, Chineze, Indian and Arabic stories that were written down by the arab author i just mentioned.

1001 Nights takes place in 'Baghdad', but in those days there was not mention of arabs!!

  • aint it lovely those days?

just 1 country with like 20 tribes

man empires where great u know.

i dont know why but beeing a persian(kurdish persian makes me happy ratther then an ottoman)

    LONG LIVE PERSIA

  • One Thousand & One Nights in iran ??

  • @bander

Yes, the tale goes like here was a Persian king who killed evry women he marry since her first betrayed him, after that the king demmand that evry month 1 women would sleep with him and beeing executed day later, then in 1 day a story teller came wich was the daughter of the nazir, the story teller told the story's in a Persian city to her little sister whyle the king listened, for every story she used 1 day so she told the story's for 1001 nights

    prefenting to be killed

  • @gerillamotherf Events of the 1001 nights and Scheherazade and Shahryar Were in the beautiful city Baghdad, a

  • @bander serieusly baghdad? that explains it but baghad was persia back then

  • @gerillamotherf But the writer of this story is originally from Persia .. The story is in Mesopotamia

  • @gerillamotherf Prince of Persia was new after the second fall of Baghdad, .. But Iraq is the cradle of events and civilizations ... But Persia had been living on the role of an opportunist as it is known

  • @bander so after the 1001 nights, she had no more story's, but the king was totally in love with her whyle teling those story's,

The king lifted the rule and marry The story teller,

    sparing her life,

it was happened in Persia and not arabic but The world confused those 2 and became arabic nights whyle persian origin,

    (Vizier(nazir=High political advisor)

    (2 refers From the storys

    1 Aladdin

2 Ali baba and the 40 thieves)

  • @gerillamotherf no sorry the frame story takes place in medevil baghdad

  • Beautiful pictures of Iran.

Great music from Shahin! Happy Nowrouz!

Best wishes to my Iranians friends for a truly Green new year.

  • me too. I think India is such a beautiful country & the people are very warm hearted.... also even today there are still people in India with the old persian religion & they are persian from their roots.

  • I have to say I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU AND ITS TOO SAD FOR US :(

  • @chandrakanth1 it is true...but we cant blame them for that anymore because it was another time, another world....and many things changed...

  • are persians related with turks??

  • @Belazzaa no.....

  • actualy yes in some ways they are related.according to the history Turks and Persian were so closed becuz of their neghburship issues.they had some war story, love story, and hero story togather.

    we are a bit different!

I admire their ATA-TURK THE GREAT.I wish we could have a MAN like ATA-TURK the great in Iran.

  • :)WOW!

  • beautiful.. <3 Persia

  • It's a shame thet people in today's Iran don't know much about their root/culture as much of the history of pre Arab invasion is being censoured...

  • it was a wonderfull place with great people and a lot of legends...wow!!

  • Wonderful piece of music....

  • very very nice

  • mamnun! payande IRAN!

  • who cares.. I am a persianphobe touche

  • naze nafaset jamaleto eshghe be hame bachehaye ba hale donya salam,,,

  • wonderful country with amazing old culture!!!!i love iran i will visit!!!and learn the language farsi

  • iran ra irani bayad sakht irani ra shahnameye ferdosi

  • such a great and rich culture PERSIAN !!!!!

    long live IRAN AND IRANIAN

  • "Payandeh IRAN va Irani!"

    "Chashmeh doshmanAneh Iranzamin koor!"

  • "Dorood bar IRAN va Irani",

Iranians have always referred to their homeland as "Iran". This is obvious in mass of Iranian literature such as Ferdosi's masterwork the magnificent "Shahnameh", the pahlavi sources, and so forth.

However, Iran was referred to as Persia in the west and in most non-Iranian text such as the bible. The terms Iran and Persia refer to the same noble nation and people.

    "Payandeh IRAN!"

  • amazing song just simply beautiful

  • also you previous comment about how arabs want to steal persian culture is not very samrt since ethncy didnt mean much in those times,we were all muslims but now its a deffirant matter....

  • first of all i didnt say arabs destroyed persia, all i want is arabs respecting persian history and apperciating it, and stop claimin the persian gulf, razy, khawarezmy muslim scientist

    peace

  • persian empire came from the amangamation of elam and medas-two aryan tribes who then expanded from 700BCE culminating in 650BCE with a sort of empire then under kurush it expanded in world empitre culiminating under daraayush in 550BCE.

persians spoke langauge similar to sanskrit in India therefore indians and persians are true brothers.

  • Comment removed

  • @digitofyou that is not really nice to say.... :/ ...we are all brothers & sister, we are all just one kind of human just with different cultures & religions & grew up in different theritories.... and i think Indians got many things in common with persian because my sister read about their culture too & it is much alike & also we all share the same heart in ourselves, don't we?

  • @digitofyou

i think thr northern (white) indians are have a relation to persia... maybe

and before u respond angerly, know that im persian too, and always proud

  • @digitofyou persia was very mixed one of the first multicultural ethnic empires. all northern euro peoples came from iran and the middleast thousands of years ago in iran there are dark people with dark hair and light skinned with light hair people with blue eyes brown eyes hazel and green and so on. just like greece. its all mixed and it makes it beutiful

  • very nice thank you

  • what the hell are you talking about????????

You know nothing about History so please dont comment

The best part was when u said since when persians used their head.hahahahha

I will give u the answer:

    since 7500 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we invited the most important things on earth even at that time other humans were living on trees lol!!!!

  • persian empire will rise once again

  • arabs steal everything, they are even claimin that akkadain empire theirs ?? this saudi girl was thinkin that the akkadian empire is actually her ancestors, any idea if its true or again they're just stealin history LOL

  • if it wasnt for arabs and islam you would be nothing but a large desert with your history

  • aha ok, go read books about the persian contribution, stop stealin our history and if it wasnt for islam u would still burry ur daughters and fuck other arabian tribes, some do still though

  • i know about the persian contributions to the world and i know that anceint arabic tradions of seeing the female as a shame before islam, but what am saying that you shouldnt blame the arabs for the downfall fof persia because we(all of us after 600 AD) lived in a big islamic nation with much glory and sceince and victories until we were devided by civil wars and thick borders

  • im so sorry for you that can not accept 10000 year of culture of one country & its people, which is clear for every one...before islam this country and also cultre were alive and was more stronger...but after islam the view and religious point of view made people accept sth without thinking and it was the problem that you today say iran & iranian were not strong before islam! am so sorry! so sorry for humankind that accept sth without researching & studing about it!!!

  • i wasnt saying persia didnt have culture,i was just replying to a guy who was flaming the arabs and forgeting about their contributions to the world when people in europe were sitting on trees :)

i know ancient persia is strong and cultured they ruled most of the known world at some point.

  • i myself just think that as you say at that time when the people in EUROPE were sitting on trees, the ARABS were kill their girls just because they born female, don't think so???and also i think at that time the europian did not sit on trees!!!

  • look back at my comment i already said that, and thats before islam andno they were sitting on trees, europe were living in their dark ages back then!

  • yep, quite true! that's the mistake most ancient Eastern cultures make unfortunately! big-headed paranoid inflated ego mentality!

  • We haven't sat on trees for 47 million years :)

  • It's the other persia, The nice one.

  • very beutiful

  • rly nice vid, persia looks so full of mystery always interested me especially its ancient history ;D

  • Explore Time TV,The New Premiere Persian Television Network!

  • We will make the GREAT PERSIA again

ما کشور آریایی بزرگ را دوباره خواهیم ساخت

  • top class stuff

  • it was originally called one thousand and one nights, but arabs took everything including this title and made it one thousand and one arabian nights.

  • thats a lie

  • hey . iran have great culture.

  • 5*****!!

  • music is crime in iran !!!!

  • Iran's a buetty

  • Very nice video.

  • then why it is called arabian nights, i dont get it

  • it is iranian(persian) story after arabs wore to iran they forced islam on us and they take and fire everthing of iran , names and everything of this story is persian ! !

  • Thank you for these beautiful images I am searching for a Persian writer who wrote a book Kafiristan ,

This book is about a tribe called Kalash which lives in Afghanistan Pakistan since very very long ,

I did try to contact the ministry in Iran etc

I was wondering May be you can help as the wooden sculptures Done 100 years ago in the Afghanistan areas of Kamdeh ,Lootdeh , areas have a sricking resemblence to old Persion Sculptures as shown by your wonderful effort I enjoyed it very very much

  • is this with Nylon strings? and classical guitar?

  • Very nice pictures of buildings, scenery, and things.

I hope you manage to add some picture of 'real people & relations' as well. Iran can be more about a culture, or more about things. Which do we choose?

    Cheers

  • isn't one thousand and one nights written by arabs?? becuz of its name "arabian nights"

  • arabian nights is written by a persian i think

  • no its not arabian ! !

it is persian , the story is in iran , names are persian even the time of this book fucking arabs and islam it wasnt forced on us ! !

  • no

its a true persion story and arabs have nothing to do with it.

Like many things they just stole it from us

  • Darius the Great King, King of Kings, King in Persia, King of countries, son of Hystaspes, grandson of Arsames, an Achaemenian.

  • i Agrre with Kpars, its a story about an persian king an etc...

One Thousand and One Nights is a collection of stories collected over many centuries by various authors, translators and scholars in various countries. BUT STILL YES, the story is about an persian king as kpars mentioned

  • Acyually it does a lot to do with Iran/Persia. The story concerns a Persian king and his new bride Scheherazade. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade tells the king a tale, but does not end it. The next night, as soon as she finishes the tale, she begins (and only begins) another. So it goes for 1,001 nights."...

  • Great job

    tnx

  • Dear "worldcafe" thank you for sharing the beautiful music and video.

The greater Iran and Iranic people forever!

  • Shahin is terrific! I love his newest album: Pasha as well as Nostalgia. Incredible musician! Keep up the great work! I await your next album!

  • Really Beautiful!

I think that there is a hidden sadness in this istrumental...

  • Madness? THIS IS PERSIA!

    Nice job.

  • Nice music! It should be appreciated by more people. If only music could bring the world together and all could lay down their pride and prejudice for the sake of harmony. Life would be so much better!!

  • Pride,power,respect,glorious..

  • i am not iranian but i am impress by the historical background of Iran (persia) a great empire it was. But now its islam thats sound sucks...better persia then islam

  • Well Done.Superp music, and great choice of pix.

    Thank you

  • I really liked their version of "Wild World" by Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam. Try not to judge all Americans by our government. I would love to visit the Middle East if I had the funds. I see the beauty as well as the problems here and in Iran. Thank goodness for artists in the world!

  • WONDERFUL, beautiful, but also tragic. Americans are becoming the new Taliban by destroying the art and culture of not just the middle east, but the ENTIRE world. This is the birthplace of civilization--way before the "10 Commandments" there were the Laws of Hammurabi, on which all legal systems are based.

and the ancient art. What is going to happen to it? Will it disappear into the sands of the desert.

What is the name of the gorgeous music--Is it available on CD? Is it available on DVD?
