  • A fine reading, very evocative and descriptive. A charming British accent.

  • @arcanus121 Such a lovely comment, thank you

  • Very nice, Lina. I wish you merry Christmas holidays and a great 2011.

    All the best

    Kean

  • @keanghiero Thanks a bit late :-( in responding, wishing you all the best.

  • I like the chattiness of the pome which is made more delightful by your delivery. It is of course a very feminine pome, and I ain't being sexist - well I wouldn't would I? But then of course you are very feminine and so's your pomes. You hadn't noticed a thing? but you do, you Pinnochio you! And then to leave em all in the old boot's boot!

  • @brychar66 Funny, I thought it was rather macho. Just goes to shoe.

  • I agree with Elly, I found this one very 'English' too. ;)

  • @janeczka Hey, don't blow my cover. I've got it so's most English people ask where I'm from. Thanks for dropping by. Darjeeling or Earl Grey? ;)

  • you are right I should probably contender that I meant to say that and that it means something ¦-)

  • You delight me, my lady! Loved the poem for many reasons, including some lines Tiny mentioned. I also enjoyed the play of sounds as well as the sense and irony. I have also been entertained and impressed with your production techniques. Wonderful. I have to agree with the others that you remain a class act even through the bloopers. I saved about ten from my last video, and I'm afraid I cussed like a salt in nearly all of them. So happy always to hear you read.

  • Oops! I meant to say like a sailor! Some day I'll get used to being on the web via my phone's tiny keyboard.

  • @sonofwalt No excuses. Take the credit for being original, few are they who can! :-)

  • @sonofwalt "cussed like a salt". Have never heard that expression before, can only speculate what it means, but it made me smile, thank you.

  • Yippie Ms. H! Featured on my page :p

  • @DavidRandallCurtis Thank you David, I feel privileged. You do me an honour. :-)

  • I left them all

    Behind

And Christmas has been a pleasure ever since.

chuckles@censored out-takes My bloopers are infinitely less lady like! ;-)

  • @longhairred Thank you, Pippy (you must say if you mind me calling you that). May this Christmas be most pleasurable for you.

  • @PoetLina May you have a wonderful holiday with your family too. Merry Merry!

Re nickname... Don't mind at all. Honoured actually. Pippy ;-)

  • It's a tricky thing video. It's like the lens has this power to pull the strings of our inner-workings completely out of tune. I really enjoyed your poem, Poet Lina. It reminded me strongly of Harold Pinter's prose pieces. It's very English, one more poem that makes me proud of being English and a poet.

  • @EllyMcCormack Thank you my English, poet, friend. Good to see you back, like "A Child in Time". Must find time to view more of your site reborn.

  • This was a big treat for me! Lines like "and only one honest lie with" and about ten others in here I find so incredibly perfect in their cleverness and sophistication. And I love the way you decided to end the poem.

Your out takes have a lot less cussing than mine. Clearly, you are the better poet AND person!

    Lo

  • @tinySpectacle Thank you ,Lo. I'm eating humble pie tonight and care for you lots.
