I think what this is showing is the design has minimal bump steer due to the proper mounting of the steering components. when you hit a bump on one side the tires will stay pointed straight ahead instead of toe'ing out or in. That's because all the suspension rod ends on the frame are all in the same plane with the ends of the rack-and-pinion steering.
does anyone know what you use to joing the wishbones to the frame? im building a off road buggy adn want to use this system but have no idea what joints to use... also how does the steering arms work the length looks like it changes as the arms move up and down... can anyone help?
@fowlerredrover What you want is called a Heim end or rod end. Low budget 3/4 rod ends are about $12 a piece. I replaced the rear suspension parts in the back of my race car for $96 (8 rod ends) Front end of a buggy you could use 5/8ths ends and save a bit. As to the unequal length of the steering components thats why a premade design is good, yesatheres changes in angle but sometimes thats a good thing :)
