Everything he said about iDrive and the facelift proves he doesn't understand the previous iDrive. The previous iDrive had shortcuts to specific functions -- you simply jog the wheel in a certain direction. Air conditioning has ALWAYS been on the dash in the 7 and the E65/6 is no exception. The "iDrive is complicated" myth never ceases to amaze me... you'd honestly have to be a low-grade moron to find it un-intuitive.

Many people were not fans of the' i drive', however I was. I thought the i drive was just like any regular control knob, actually fun and futuristic to control. Its the same i drive today! BMW does not spend too much time with tedious things.  Their cars were straight forward and simple. Today BMW is focused on futuristic engineering. The BMW 7 series is one heck of a Luxury Car.

If there's one thing missing from the 7 series right now, it's shift paddles. I mean, if you can get them on the 3 and the new 5 series, why not the 7 series? If BMW adds them on std for all 7 series, they got the competition beat.

The BMW 750Li is already one of the best Luxury cars out there. There is really no need for paddle shifters on a sedan that already performs better than many cars you see today.

@heartlessvietboy i'm well aware that the 7 is great as it is, possibly my favorite car in this class. just saying that paddles would give it extra sporting edge against it rivals. it's quicker to shift using those than using the sequential lever mode. If BMW's charging 90-100k+ on this auto, may as well cover all the angles and leave no stone unturned. if you have Two manual shift modes in a lux car, you can't lose.

@crashoveryu the car was not that badly priced but i didn't like the annual maintenance expenses, very very high. And the insurance is high 2.

@vaper1986 So far I couldn't be more satisfied as I am. The car totally rocks. To be honest, except for the some regular governmental taxes, I didn't have to pay for an insurance since our friend from that particular insurance company offered us with 80% (!!!!!) discount :)
