some of you people are so fucking ignorant..this gun is a great gun i own one right now and have no problem with the gun...there is a trigger mod u can do to it to make it a much lighter pull...i made mine like a 6lb triger pull..so the people that actually take the time to figur out what u can do to make the gun better..but some of u sitting here beating on it..its a great gun
This gun jams after 1000 rounds, my uncle, cousin, grandfather and I all have one and we all regret buying them. It was the first handgun I ever owned and I am now looking at selling it. Do not waste your money, save it and buy something better.
the gun is loud ...it feels very cheap shooting ...i urge anyone to stay away from this 299 dollar gub ...save your money ,,,,i can say this ,,,cause im one of several people i know who didnt believ the people who told me not to buy it ...i did anyway ...lets just say i do not have this gun anymore ......i purchased a 1911 for 300 dollars more 599 total its a 45 and its less loud easier to shoot lots of safties if thats your thing ...
just bought one back in june...... it is now at s&w getting fixed. the extractor broke and was failing to feed and eject shells. they are fixing it under warranty thats a plus. i only fired about 400 rounds through it.
Just bought the Sigma 9mm, im excited to try it out! its my first handgun so im sure the heavy trigger pull wont bother me as much as it does more experienced shooters :)
Sigma 9mm is one of the best and cheap pistols i have ever bought, being a glock 17 owner for 4 years i can say it is a direct competitor with the glock, the only thing some people complain about is the trigger, but it can easily be fixed by replacing a spring thats $5 including shipping ;)..I would definitely trust my life on a sigma anytime!
Nice shooting. My .40 sigma VE has about a 12 lbs trigger pull and it pulls my shots off. I am ordering the 6lb trigger pull spring from Lone Wolf Distributors. Hopefully my shot group will improve to match my groupings from Glocks.
I own a Sigma and I have also shot some Glocks. now I do not think that the sigma is as nice as the Glocks but I do just fine with my Sigma. However to anyone considering buying this gun I highly suggest that you shoot it before you buy one. The trigger pull is around ten lbs and is not like a normal auto and it has no safety however it does have the safe action trigger like the Glocks do. All in all though I am still enjoying mine quite a bit.
I have been shooting with two fingers, my left on top of my right over the trigger. I know it's unorthodox, but adds stability and accuracy...anything wrong with that?
actually I own this gun and a glock... both a amazing guns, both have stopping power and both are the top of the line when it comes to handguns. Glock or SW its a safe bet, just personal preference. I HIGHLY recomend this weapon to anyone... now obviously the stopping power isn't as high as a .40 or .45, but if you're hit with it you'll drop... This gun is not much cheaper than a glock. I bought mine from Gander Mnt for $399, Glocks were $499.
I completely sucked when I used my sigma 40, the trigger had me shooting high and left, but I see you figured it out. I've been shooting my glock for some time and it's like night and day and my grouping is dead on with my glock. Guess I need more practice
@theoster really? how would you like to volunteer and stand in front of me and let me shoot you with it and then tell me what you think. well that is if you survive.
the 9mm has much more penetration than a 45 acp since it goes at faster speeds, modern cartriges like hydrashock, or a extreme shock air freedom will drop someone awfull quick if shot center mass.
I'm sure some people prefer better weapons, and if you have the money sure buy the better weapon. I know one thing if this is the only weapon you have access to to stop someone your going to use it
Most people that bash guns are just hating because they spent big bucks on more expensive guns and want to justify the decision. I buy my guns based on quality, not price tag; I haven't picked up this SW yet, but thinking about it.
@DRCsyntax you should buddy, you wont go wrong with the sigma, trigger is a little hard though and it may affect your accuracy at longer ranges like 25yds per say,but you can easily fix that.
Love the gun too, I don't have issues with the trigger. With a little practice time it becomes second nature to pull a 10lb trigger. I have found that my 40ve is deadly accurate at 15 feet/yards.
I think the XD by Springfield Armory would be a closer competitor to the Glock than anything...better pistol too. I had nothing but issues with my Sigma. Got rid of it 4 months after I got it.
The only reason S&W sigmas are compared to the Glock which you probably already know is because S&W used some of the same Patends as the glock so some parts in the Sigma series S&W are actually glock parts.....S&W Sigmas are still better overall handguns than glocks though. In MY opinion atleast....
Hi Dwayne - just subed. Thanks for the vid and great explanation re: glock and legal history. I myself have both the pre-litagation and post-litagation models and there is quite a difference. I was thinking about selling the pre- model with 2 17 rd mags for $600 as it is a "cold" - never registered gun and I live in California where now it is next to impossible to get any gun. What is you opinion of this sale? Thank You. Sincerely, JAMES.
I have had no problem with it also, according to some guys i know the gun is lousy. don't indent the bullet and some other problems. I am a security officer and last time I qualified I did better than the last time. so I don't know what problems they are talking about.

@Johnm251 you could beak your fingers from the recoil using high recoil weapons.

people don't kill the messenger but i have heard that this gun is like a powerful BB gun they say it have no power and wont penatrate a man
theoster 1 year ago
@theoster how is that possible? it's still a 9mm firearm using the same ammo as the rest, so the killing potential is their as well

@DwayneCooney its also 300 bucks cheaper, all depends on what you are using it for, carrying, not so great, range and shooting stuff its great

What makes you say that if its a direct copy/competitor?
LazyWaffleman 2 years ago
LazyWaffleman,
There are two reasons that cannot be overlooked besides many other details between the pistols. The trigger.... and quality.
You get what you pay for.
