slower beats mean the bass is usually dirtier and more drawn out... the mainstream crap is bout 140-145...

Who has subs hooked up to their computer? and believe me, subs don't do anything so he hasn't listened through subs either. they make all the difference for other songs but not this one. i would turn up the volume on the bass. not to sound trolling or anything cuz it takes time and skill to do something like this and your way better then me. but as a listener it would sound better is you turned up the wobbles at the part where you said turn up your subs

Non I have a 6 year old keyboard I use to play the notes and I used the dials on the VSt to change wobble rate using automation clips as you can see in the video

@ArGyProductions This is a great start. Just needs some smoothing out around the edges. haha I recognize that "depthcharge." Anyways, the beats were very creative. If you want to make it dirty run it through a distortion plugin on the mixer.

Hey the only VST I use is Edirol Orchestral which is free you will need to google it.

The make the Wobble Bass sound I used the built in Wasp XT in FL Studio 8 XXL

I used Wasp XT and I used automation clips to vary the rate of Osc1. As you can see from the yellow coloured graph @ 2:34

Pretty good for a first attempt. few tips.. most dubstep beats use 140BPM and have the snare on the 3rd and 7th beat on the pattern, and use a snare not a clap. also it sound like your using the basic fl sounds, try get some new sound packs and vst pluggins for better sounds.

and this is just my opinion but i prefer the more loud filthy wobbles rather than low deep ones. but keep it up you only improve as you go :)

Ah thanks a great deal for the info mate, i think this project is 130BPM, the funny thing is is started this project in march for 2 days then only got back to it last week so its not really much like dubstep. im currently work on a new beat right now applying those things you told. what kind Plugins do you use? the only VST's i have are NI massive and Edirol Orchestral.. I might switch to using Reason for better sounds

@ArGyProductions for dubstep i use Massive or Z3ta+ but massive is really good for filthy dubstep sounds its one of the best to use once you know how to work it, and i'd advise you to get the "VEC sounds pack" it includes loads of better sounding kicks, snares, hi-hats and so on.
