In these licks are the real roots of rock n roll. Not blues but blue grass....mountain music. The idea that rock n roll came from southern blues I believe to be mostly a lie put forth by record companies for political reasons. Even Chuck Berry admitted that he was attempting to play this style of music. This man in the video has mastered it in a way Chuck Berry could only dream of.

he's the next generaton chet atkins mixed with doc watson. Chet fingered picked and doc flat picked,Brian is to me a rockier combo of those two.He's the only person I have seen that flat picked and finger picked in the same song.I love his music and as any muscian aspire to play that grerat someday!
