  • I think the red and green filling is a very good Idea. I made them and tried it with white chocolat and tinted it. :P

  • i think you made them a bit to thin but they taste still good right?

  • @KlaudiaAntonina York peppermint patties are thin and yes they taste good, I don't post recipes that taste bad

  • How do these taste?

  • @VampireLover1999 like york peppermint patties

  • @yoyomax12 ok thank you :) also, can you cook anything on it? it seems very usefull

  • @SuperSquishyFreak96 I actually clean my countertops to to be clean enough to eat off of, don't you?

  • @SuperSquishyFreak96 im pretty sure she cleans the counter before making her recipes. if you keep YOUR counter dirty and gross, then it's your problem.

  • yummy! where did you get your silicone mat? do you remember how much it was? oh, and I'm from Canada too!

  • @Fashioncf1999 They were a gift from a friend from Hawaii and she bought them at a Target store. I'm sure that you could find them at a store like Walmart or a specialty kitchen store.

  • yummm! :)

  • You could also form the pattys into shapes like hearts :)

  • If I try this, I think I will let mine go in the fridge or freezer for 10 mins before dunking. I think the chocolate would conform better? PLUS! I love them cold anyway :)

  • @neurocosm The chocolate would harden faster if they are cold :)

  • Do you think you could make vegetarian recipes? Thanks :-]

  • Hehehe. I have the same icing sugar in my pantry, and it never lasts long enough lol

  • You basically said my favourite words, mint and chocolate!!! Mhmm!! Looks good!! Good job!! :)

  • do you bake everyday? ur so lucky

  • I LOVE PEPPERMINT PATTIES. I wish I gas sweetened and condensed milk :(

  • You sound kinda like Ellen!

  • new sub

  • Comment removed

  • @b6info Grocery store or craft store that sells cake decorating supplies

  • great job!!!

  • I dont like peppermint, but do you think these would taste good without the extract? just like a normal patty

  • @anime3moncherrat You could leave it out, or substitute it with another kind of extract (rum, maple, vanilla, etc)

  • i love how you say dough ! :D

  • @ashy13241 she was asking yoyomax......

  • as in right from the start

  • can I stir it with a ladle instead?

  • @veenassa Stir it with whatever you'd like :)

  • @veenassa lol, idk why but this cracked me up.It seems that would be difficult..

  • Where did you get the mini whatchamahyosit you were flipping the patties with? Craft store? Grocery store?

  • @PurplexGreenxx I bought them a bulk food store that sells candy making supplies, you can easily make similar tools by using a plastic fork and breaking off a couple of tines

  • I wanna make these! To bad I dont have condensed milk. :(

  • @ashy13241 :(

  • @ashy13241 Try your local asia grocery. I believe there must be condense milk there! Its yummy too :p

  • Could you make more bigger so its won't melt?

  • @AnimeSisterForever Um..... I suppose so. But wouldnt it be easier to ask yoyomax about that? My comment didnt even have anything to do with that.....

  • If you swap the peppermint for almond you'll have marzipan.

  • @TheCaptainLulz true!

  • love you! from Italy :)

  • @2fetentissima Thank you from Canada!

  • What a yummy idea!

Know what would be cute to see, a pizza themed cupcake. lol

  • @LoveAj03 Thanks for the suggestion

  • I almost died when i found this. I watched it once and thought hmm thats cool! And then when i couldnt found it i spent a hour laying on the couch. xD

  • @alexisannquirk Thanks for watching :)

  • THAT IS SOOO MUCH SUGAR! it looks sooo yummy though <3

  • @TheBeautyqueendiva lots of sugar, it is candy

  • these could also be frozen prior to choco coating...right?

  • @finitamoreno Yes you could, but I would still dry them, it keeps them from being really soft at room temp.

  • I only got about 30 out of mine, I bet with practice it will get better

  • @Lea2009 30 isn't bad! Thanks for letting me know you tried them :)

  • Hi tammy, can you make a video on how to make nachos and also chili cheese dogs!

  • @spartanrc14 LOVE chili cheese dogs! Thanks for the suggestion.

  • I love all ur videos(peppermint petties r my fav.)!

  • @happystarxo thanks!

  • I love your videos so much!

  • @brerobertson Thanks! :)

  • YOu should marble the red and the green to gether for your christmas baking that would look deadly

  • @WebpageCannotDisplay Great idea

  • OOOOOHHH MYY im in heaven chocolate and mint yummmmmmy we get after dinner mints here i just love them

  • @sooouuuuper Chocolate and mint were meant to be together (just like chocolate and PB) come to think of it, chocolate well with a lot of things. :)

  • @CandianCupcake These are quite good, give them a try!

  • Ow, mint and chocolate. Not my taste favorite, but I like the technique :).

  • @enjoydotcom Mint isn't everyone's favourite, that's true, but thanks for watching anyway. :)

  • @yoyomax12 Oh, mint on it's own I like, chocolate, well that's just made for me ;), but the combination, not so much.

Of course I watch, I watch all your video's. :)

  • where can i find peppermint extract in america, can i find it also online? i would prefer a store if you know any

  • @spartanrc14 I live in Canada so I have no idea where you would find it in the USA. Ours is available in the baking section of the grocery store and in the cake decorating section of our Micheal's craft store and bulk food store.

  • Oh my goodness these look delish.

  • @TracysTreasures24 Thanks! :)

  • About the powder sugar: can I just throw some regular sugar in a blender?

  • @xSara1551 It needs to be extremely fine (powder) if you can get that by blending regular sugar, then yes

  • I'm not sure if i could make it to the final chocolate dipping stage because i would probably have all the centres eaten by then! hahahaha! Did you use some cooking parafin in the chocolate mixture hun? It looks so nice and shiny!

  • @Supportahol I think I added a bit to this, the centers were very tasty :)

  • the peppermint patties look like fondant!

  • @MissPonderosa they do!

  • I love peppermint patties! Too much! Hugs!

  • @imperceptibleme Thanks! :)

  • Can you? or do you know how to make something like an EAT MORE candy bar?

  • @Arron1313 My Mom used to make a copy cat eat more candy bar recipe when we were kids, I'll have to ask her about it

  • Over here in the uk they do summin similar called mint creams and there like thicker versions of that without the chocolate

  • @heyyferr cool!

  • wow yoyo I cant wait to try these, you give me so many great ideas. I always look forward to your recipes.

  • @debba1976 Thanks for watching!

  • Good grief, it couldn't be any easier, huh? And so much cheaper.

You know what would be cool? Rolling out the peppermint patties and using cookie cutters....oh the possibilities

  • @silverscreamgrl DANG! Why didn't I think of the cookie cutter idea? rolling it out and cutting it would have made them more uniform

  • @yoyomax12 That--plus I was thinking if you were doing it at Christmas time, you could use all the cute Christmas cookie cutters and shapes. Fun!

  • I dont like mint and chocolate together, could I put a different flavoring? or would it mess up the recipe?

  • @MagicMiley08 You could use a different flavouring

  • @MagicMiley08 Nope! Although i did somthing like this and i covered it with frosting. It kinda lost the minty flavor :)

  • These look great! I would probably just eat the filling without the chocolate. :-) Instead of letting the peppermint disks dry out for such a long time, do you think you could pop them in the freezer for a shorter period before dipping them in the chocolate?

  • @cathy3305 The problem with that is that when they defrost the patties might be too soft an they would bend and fold when you picked them up to eat them

  • I was thinking the same thing for Christmas with red & green. They look delicious. I think it would take me quite a few tries to get the dipping right. : )

  • @capergirl1976 It takes a bit of practice, but by the end of them I was doing pretty well, lol

  • wow that looks really delicious!

  • @SomeKnowsLikes Thanks! :)

  • @yoyomax12 no prob :D

  • what about a swirl of colours inside? Like green and red for christmas?

  • @JustMe13597 I say that right in the video and in the description box.

  • Looks great!!

  • @TheVittleVlog Thanks! :)

  • So, what did you do with the first peppermint patty after it was sogged in the chocolate?

I would have popped it right in my mouth.

    :3

  • @colourhairskullyrics I let it harden and then ate it!

  • I love your christmas baking yeeeey cant wait!!!! x

  • @liccymjlover I usually start in October, stay tuned!

  • @yoyomax12 Can't wait!

  • Y do u use fake milk?

  • @puppetmaster109

It's not fake milk...it's condensed milk...milk and sugar cooked down until most of the liquid is evaporated...it's used for candy making quite often.

  • @puppetmaster109 What are you talking about? Sweetened condensed milk is concentrated, thickened sweetened milk. You can't use plain milk for this I used what they called for in the recipe.

  • Yet another epic recipe I get to try :D

  • @HyperTheProfessor Thanks! :)

  • can you make a 'pikachu' cupcake?? i just love your cupcake decorating vids

  • @moofeyy Thanks for the suggestion!

  • You know for the Christmas one you could use green/red chocolate mints and do the inside red/green a well :)

  • @LynnieLovey I say this in the video and the description box!!!!!!!!

  • SO WEIRD!!! Im eating some york patties now and was just thinking "I wish I knew how to make these"... got on here and there's your vid! LOL

  • @MegaMakeupaddict There's a coincidence, lol

  • I just had my first york peppermint patty the day before you posted this... boy was I ecstatic to see this in my sub box! I don't think there will be a day my house doesn't have these in it!

  • @blow230 They are very addicting! lol

  • i love all of your videos!!! and the amazing thing is that i FIND every ingredient in Mexico!!! isnt that pretty cool?

  • @AnMex8 Wonderful!

  • Why do you disable ratings? :(

  • @itsbettinaaa Because thumbs down make me crazy

  • When you got the hang of it, they started looking perfect. The recipe makes enough to feed a small town, though. Scaling it down to make 2 or 3 patties might be a little tricky. LOL

  • @anmoose It makes a HUGE amount. It is hard to scale down because of the can of condensed milk, you could use half a can, but you end up trying to find a use for he second half

  • Wow - what a fascinating production process. A couple of times I found myself saying 'what'? LOL and yet it worked out perfectly. Great idea for the christmas packages. Brilliant. Thanks!

  • @thizizliz The dipping was a challenge! It took a bit to get it just right.

  • Tammy, i love Peppermint..I am making these..I look forward to all your recipes..I should get cracking with some of my own...thanks...hugs from rhode island..

  • @lmdelsanto1 Thanks Louise!

  • Seems to me that using one of these small paint brushes (used for food) would be easier to brush the chocolate on (since you have to flip them over anyway). Rather than dipping them.

  • @ebuff57 Brushing chocolate on would probably take twice as long though.

  • They look delicious! I'm just trying not to imagine the mess the chocolat would make (at least in my kitchen) lol

  • @apocalyptica003 I didn't show the clean up part! It was messy

  • Yummmm. I think I am going to add these to my Christmas baking as well!

  • @mando71P Great! Thanks for watching

  • @tifftiffdream1 I make healthy dishes for my family, but they are pretty boring to post on YT. I DO have a few healthy meals as well if you take the time to look through my videos. I will not stop posting dessert and cupcakes though because I love to make them and people love to watch them. It is a matter of economics for me as I am YT partner. This is most definitely NOT a health food channel. There are many other YT cooking channels out there that may suit your new lifestyle.

  • @yoyomax12 I think you shouldn't change your videos. I'm eating healthy on a daily basis and your channel is my main way to experience something sweet, lol. Just looking at it makes me smile :)

  • @wermik89 Thank you for the vote of confidence :)

  • @yoyomax12 keep doing what your doing, its great. The cupcake inventions are so creative and fun & the other 'cake mixes' segmant is also good. Maybe just keep to desserts and nothing else :P haha thats just me I guess but you do so brilliantly in just cooking your inventive desserts!

  • @MissPonderosa Making desserts is my most favourite thing to do, you are spot on with that!

  • @GadgetGirlful lol !

  • @loveurpetalways My videos usually will go in spurts depending on how much I have to work at my day job. You may see the numbers drop off in a few days as the videos I have made on my days off get posted.

Thanks so much for watching and for the lovely compliment.

  • A fun kopy kat recipe. Is the peppermint taste strong?

  • @seka1986 About as strong as the commercially available ones, not super strong but very obvious.

  • I really like this idea to make at Christmas. This will be included in my Christmas candies to give away too. Thanks so much for making them!

  • @beccawitch I'm also going to make these at Christmas time, a bit smaller in size I think and I may dye the insides red and green.

  • :O Are you Canadian?

    :p I have president's choice too!

    Anyways I LOVE PEPPERMINT PATTIES!!!!!

Ohh! Can you make a songebob and patrick Cupcake :)

  • @bluespyguy85 President's Choice is usually really good! Yes I am Canadian (Northern Ontario)

  • thank you for this recipe. yummy looking. going to try this weekend

  • @Lea2009 Thanks for watching , hope they turn out for you.

  • They look amazing :O

  • @pinkblackwitch Thanks! :)

  • I love Peppermint patties. This looks like a good recipe.

  • @debbiez112 These tastes a lot like the commercially available ones.

  • Oh my gosh, I feel 10 pounds coming on! These look delicious!

  • @Neferkit You can have some of my weight if you'd like. I'll send you ten gladly lol.

  • looks so delicious!

  • @hibaqay1990 Thanks! :)

  • That's a lot of work but they look sooooooo good!

  • @roxyfur They are a lot of work for sure! They do taste like you make a big effort too.

  • where do u work?

  • @lambokun Sorry, can't say :(

  • @yoyomax12 like what occupation XD i could totally imagine u bringing in those peppermint patties to a high end restaurant XD. but a cubical is cool too =D

  • Nice recipe! I have made them with cream cheese instead of the condensed milk & didn't care for them so I will try this way next time. Do you think the texture was because of the drying time? I also wonder if the dough could be rolled into a log, frozen & then sliced? Thanks, I always enjoy your videos :)

  • @meluv2cook The texture was due to the drying time for sure, before drying they have the texture of Oreo cookie filling, they are just a little bit drier after letting them sit, but they still have some moisture in them. Drying makes them firm enough to dip, but freezing them instead? Interesting. I may try it with a chunk of the filling at Xmas time this year to see if it works. If you try it before me, let me know how it turned out.

  • These look great. I'm really bad at dipping things however. I seem to just make a big mess...TFS.

  • @beckwhitty I actually don't like dipping things, but I seem to make recipes that require it lol.

  • Those are awesome! =)

  • @LittleMissStamper Thanks Sandi!

  • peppermint patties.. are they like after eight dinner mints too?

  • @MissBekkahJane Yes, very much like after eights

  • They are my favorite candy ever!!! i have like 4 bags hidden in my room i will try this!!
