  • Tune!

  • paul revere, the Kingsmen and the wailers all from the same area and all had hits of louie louie

  • What a cranking tune! I'm blown away... Thanks!

  • Ron Gardner played for my senior prom in high school. RIP Ron

  • I was turned on by many bands playing in the Pac. NW in the Sixties. Those guys were ahead of most rock/garage bands in other areas of the US. The Wailers, Sonics, Don and the Goodtimes, Paul Revere and the Raiders are good examples and when fused with the technologies and innovations introduced there by the Liverpool Five that area of the World rocked like hell!!!

  • back at the Pypo Club, circa '65....

  • gimmie more more more!!

  • R.I.P. Kent Morrill - April 15, 2011

  • I remember when the Wailers came to my home town. It was a big deal but I was only 10 and I needed to be 16.

  • The BEST of the Wailers hits by far.....still to this day, it ROCKS!!!

  • Excuse the error; the drummer is DAVE ROWLAND. Sorry Dave.

  • This may be the greatest of the Wailers' incredible body of work. Absolutely stunning vocal by the late Ron Gardner, and

the rock steady drumming of Mike Burke's replacement,

Dave Gardner. Solid Fender work by Buck Ormsby, and keys by Kent Morrill.

This is where grunge began......Tacoma, Washington

  • Although the Sonics were greatly influenced by the Wailers , and their first few 45s surpassed the Wailers, this particular track by the Wailers surpasses anything the Sonics ever recorded. This may be the GREATEST 60s garage recording ever.

  • I found this through a Sonic's video.

Its really swell, I love garage rock and this is just great.

Modern world, come back to this music.

  • Can somebody PLEASE post the lyrics? I'm dying out there in France...#p

  • From Tacoma, WA these guys were the holy grail of NW rock predating the Sonics, Kingsman and Paul Revere & the Raiders; even scoring a US top 40 hit "Long Cool One" in 1959. They also recorded the original version of Richard Berry's "Louie, Louie" in 1961; 2 years prior to the Kingsman' hit. This should have been a hit as well, although i think the Sonics and Paul Revere & the Raiders had upstaged them by 1965 and they got shunted aside as part of the pre-beatles era.

  • looks like a sweet collection.
