Just a thought: if you set of the first 20 or so explosions over the course of 7 hours then you could always blame any one of them on, e.g., diesel generators, or gas cookers etc. Then only the final few explosions that initiate the final collapse would be heard at that point when all witnesses had been moved far away. This would account for all the testimony of prior explosions - including Barry Jennings who reported a massive explosion prior to even the planes hitting the buildings.

Look at this video closely. The building collapses from the bottom. WTC started to collapse from exactly where the planes struck which was near the top. That is not how you carry out a controlled demolition as you need the full force of gravity. But even if charges were used.
