At 4:19 you said that gamecube B is jump and Y is attack. Try getting use to B as accept and A back.

That's why I find it almost impossible to play the SNES games with a Gamecube controller. Because most games have the settings jump with B and shoot with Y. My favorite controller is the SNES controller, that's why I play most games on the Wii with the Classic controler. Atleast those where it's possible. Except Megaman 9 and the NES games, those games I play with the Wii mote on the side.

I think the GameCube controller being so bad for SNES games was a ploy to get you to buy a classic controller. There's no excuse for not automatically mapping buttons well or giving you the option to map them.

Know what I just thought, Castlevania is just the castle part of transylvania and Castlevania is spreading evil to transylvania (dracula), the outdoors areas are transylvania being thwarted by evil. Thats probably why all the games these days stay in castles, to make it more CASTLEvania esque, I hate it lol.

It's been a while since you've done an LP that I've done.  They made some pretty good improvements on Dracula X but this is still one of my favorite Castlevania games. It was about the 3rd or 4th game I got for the SNES.

The stuff you talk about at 00:50, heh, that's exactly how I felt! It was my second or third SNES game, I had only played Super Mario World and Street Fighter II: World Warrior and was like "holy crap, this is awesome.. blood falling from the main logo" (I had the PAL -version if I remember correctly so it wasn't censored). My neighbor was a videogame -store owner and my parents got the SNES for half the price and two controllers :D Later I got the Japanese version of F-Zero and an US/JP adapter

Nintendo was trying to keep in line with the old buttons. But the way they were rearranged doesn't exactly make that convenient for ports. Change controls if you can. If not, a classic controller is a godsend. The only thing is using A and B for GBA games on the DS. I would prefer B as A and Y as B. But what can ya do?

And yeah, that Megaman Collection for the GCN was pretty terrible. I'm glad I bought the X Collection on the PS2 instead!
