What type of strings do you use? Do you ever use it as a synth? Here in Canada Godin make a nylon classical that can be used a synth. I've played it as a regular guitar in the music shop here. It seems the guitar synth is not present in the stores these days. The last time I saw one on display was when Roland brought out the VG series a number of years ago.
Regarding strings, D'addario .011 and lately a 0.12 set. I love the GR-300 sound, but I'm trying to get rid of the Metheny influence, and using the synth puts you instantly on Metheny mode. I've played Godins, you're talking about the Multiac, right? But the difference is that all those are MIDI synths (digital), while the GR-300 gives you the unique response of an analog synth. BTW, It looks like the guitar proved to be a very desirable sound on its own, and not very suited to control synths.

I saw your link from a Roland GR 303 site. I also have a rare white Roland GR 303. Nice video.

Hi, Darko!
Thanks for your nice comment on my video.
I added you as a friend. We have similar tastes in music, as I can see on your profile.
I really love the G303 guitar.
Please check my instrumental quartet's channel named CoringasPontoCom here on YouTube.
There are some quality videos where I play the G303, and it sounds great (at least to me)!
I hope you enjoy!
Best
Leo
