can TBI cause someone to have a lasting 30 month dry cough after the initial event happening....the type of cough like triggered when you use cotton buds in your ears - ie: not plegm lung type flu/cold cough......i ask as i had TBI approx 10 yrs ago, cough soon after and have slowly got worse since but cough gone...i think i may have damaged something/pituitary? and am sure i now have hypopituitarism and adrenal/endocrine problems as have all the symptoms of it...never had it investigated!!!
I would like 2 know of anyone going 2 university or been 2 university and how they coped with T.B.I.??? As I have come to the conclusion that I definitely fit into this catergory and have had all the signs for quite some time from 4 car accidents, 2 cycle accidents, recent work assault ...and I thought I was growing old. Just finished 1st semester exams and I dont expect 2 pass any of my exams as if I hadnt already been forewarned lol
my wife knocked out a vw windshield with her head a few yrs ago. its changed her personality, she gets dizzy all the time. headaches and has fits of rage. its driving me crazy. i know i need to stay with her to help her though this, but it so hard to live with her.thank god i have my son living with us,hes a big help
The neuroplasticity is an extraordinary hability that the nerve cells have. There is still much to be known about how it works. Fortunatly there are people strongly commited with this topic and looking forward to see results of their work. Have a look at Tyromotion in Internet or on facebook and get a glimpse of what we do.
I noticed a lot of Brain injured people get angry easily> I was brutally beaten in my head over 14 years ago and was quite snapper headed... I'm assuming that anger is a primevil natural response to having a serious threat to the well fare of your Vital organ the brain. Is that correct?
I am recovering from concussion. My body intuitively told me to drink POMEGRANATE JUICE, which I have been doing and it has been helping. I then read that this has high levels of antioxidants, which aid healing.
Next my body told me to drink ALOE VERA juice. This has also been helping. I have read that aloe vera acts to reduce inflammation.
I believe in natural remedies and would like to share this learning with others.
@jettmanas ct scan doesn't disprove tbi. What they don't tell you is if they don't have a previous ct scan of your brain before the incident, how can they tell if it has changed or not? they can't
Hope you don't mind that I posted my vid here, Marcy. Users will see your vid attached to mine, maybe watch it more offen. Someday your numbers will surpass mine... Hope you're well!!
saharra you've hit the nail on the head (let's hope it was wearing a helmet!!!). When sufferers such as yourself retain their humanity, sensitivity, and go to great lengths not to impact on others it does make it more difficult for others to recognise it. Doesn't make things any easier for you, but it is HUGELY to your credit...
this is very true I didn't realize how common this is I feel very sorry for anyone who has to go through this I missed the last half of my senior year because I was in a wreck and hospitalized but now I'm in college and I got to be prom queen
what about numbness in the face and lips and occasionaly tunnel vision i hav started having the symptoms yesterday i came close to blacking out almost fell on stove while cooking
Ok, so WHAT are YOU going to do about it??? Nothing. All I see is stats. It's a good thing you're CUTE, or I wouldn't write anything here.
Here's the deal - I'm alone so far. Some people HATE me because I think their STUPID praying logic isn't going to change anything. The way to CHANGE things is to end that religious NONSENSE.
And FOLLOW ME! Protect your head! It's THAT SIMPLE, dear.
@dontsendmeanybs You are right on one account...the religious nonsense had caused more evil, more wars, more death, divorce, tragedy than anything else on earth. However this posted video is excellent in educating some of our numbskull public who don't have TBI. Some ppl including my own children refuse to acknowledge that there is anything wrong just because i look normal, don't have scars, cuts, bruises. IT makes it difficult when ppl don't understand what problems we face with memory loss.

I've had headaches, diziness, and mild depression for a month.
I'm hoping this will go away within two months.
I might have mild TBI. The people in the ER weren't much help after the CT scan- they said it was normal, at least. No bleeding.
I'll visit your site.

@oT0W3Ro TBI is a Traumatic Brain Injury; not always bleeding, but sometimes pressure change, etc. Wiki has decent info on the details.
