If you did you'd have noticed that the most heroic of actions come from those who are the most religious and faithful of all, and not those who use it for their own personal gains. I can see why most Iranians hate Islam. They think that Shia Islam is Islam. Well, it's not. I truly feel sad for those blinded by cultural interpretations of Islam. They cannot understand it for what it is & appreciate its contributions for society. Religions, as a whole, shouldn't be judged by the actions of wayward individuals who claim to lead under its banner. I don't recall Robertson or Falwell training children to become suicide bombers, or to rape and behead women as an 'honor killing'. Nor are there terror cells of Christians - anywhere. When a Christian commits an evil act, he is going AGAINST Christ. When a radical Muslim does so, he is following the Qur'an. My best friend, a Muslim women, is on the run from her brothers who will kill her because she married a Christian; even though she did not abandon her faith. I haven't seen her for 5 years.

Where the hell did you get that? He did NOT encourage polygamy, isolating it to widows of war or orphans (because around 600 c.e. it was difficult for women to attain independent financial stability). NOT that Islam didn't allow it. His first wife (he only married AFTER her death) was his employer, an entrepreneur. There were other reqs: equality in love and financial provision. Otherwise, it wasn't encouraged. The polygamy for lust sanctioned in Iran is NOT Islamic.
