When it is done the itunes will show ipod .Then another time click Shift+restore and chose firmware from TouchBuddy and wait till its done.... itunes wont recognize ipod... now uninstall itunes and install itunes 7.7 when its is done open and it is done :D "NICE TOUCHING" thank you touchbuddy again =P

Thank you !!! It Really Worked!!! It was a bit hard to download xD but then almost no problem. For anyone who has problem! Listen to this instructions:

Download ipod touch firmware 1.1.4 , iTunes 7.5 (if u have firmware 2.0 or later alredy, you must uninstal itunes 8.0 or.7.7 and install 7.5) then you open iTunes and put ipod in DFU mode. When it recognise ipod click shift+restore and u find ipod 1.1.4 firmware... other steps in my another comment

it is a way to restore them

you need itunes 7.5 to make it work. restore to firmware 1.1.4 and then restore to 2.0 on itunes 7.5 after it,s done you need to connect it to a itunes 7.7 to active it. and its done

A lot of you have been getting errors such as (6) or (1600) or (1403) .......

If u get any error like that, the only problem is that you are not in DFU mode properly

If u don't know how to get into DFU mode

Go check a video on it

Ohh and don't worry

The 2.0 firmware is about 80megabytes larger than any other firmware so it takes a lot

Longer to restore than we have been used to

So don't worry about it

try downloading the file again... hold the mouse over it and make sure it has the whole 222 or whatever MB

it has to be perfectly in DFU Mode

pain in the ass

turn off your ipod or iPhone completely

then hold "lock" and "home buttons for 10 slow seconds

then release "lock" button, but still hold "home" button

for 15 slow seconds and then

ipod or iphone should dissapear from itunes and ipod or iphone should have recovery mode image on screen and it should work perfectly

u just probably not in DFU right

cuz if u try to and the restore sceen or your ipod isnt there, that means that you are not completely in DFU mode

at this point if your screen is just black

hold down the power button for a while and you ipod will just turn on like normal

(this is because it didnt go into DFU, you just did like a hard power off)

so u should be able to just turn the pwoer on and verything should be back to normal

Worked for me! I was actually on 1.1.1 jailbroken, and I downloaded the custom firmware, hooked up to iTunes, Shift click restore, and selected the custom 2.0 firmware! It comes with Cydia!
