I remember the good old days on the late 70's early 80's. KTVU would show this on TV, and have to make a commercial for it. I never have seen the full movie, just the beginning...

I saw this movie 2 days ago, and I got to say that the trailer is creepier than the movie! Wasn't a bad film just not as scary as people make it out to be. It's still worth watching at least once.

Wow, this is a creepy trailer! But I agree, this is a great movie - I love Anthony Hopkins! I really "felt" for his character, although I didn't like it when he kidnapped Ivy... I thought that was kind of going against his wish to just make sure she was doing well and stuff....
The film is a very underated and good movie, it came out shortly after the exorcist and was sadly overlooked by many, anthony hopkins plays the father of the deceased audrey rose who seems to be manifesting through Ivy a girl born shortly after Audrey roses passing, the books are evn better than the move :)
I saw Audrey Rose years ago. From what I CAN remember the first time around, I didn't find it too bad. I need to watch it again-just to refresh my memory. Oddly enough, critics "cut this film down to size" or gave it a "one star."
This is cool...is it authentic? I think it is, but I am only 37 and I doubt that I have seen it before. But, I like it. This is right up my alley. There are have been so many movies in the last 50 years that have sucked runny eggs but had the biggest budgets and the biggest stars. A movie should teach, should stimulate out emotions and intellect or, in the worst case scenario, simply entertain. That is all we should expect. I have seen this movie and I think it does what a movie should do.
this is one of the best movies of the 70's..marsha mason..bill beck and anthony hopkins..plus susan swift..I've loved this movie since i was 11...I'm now 41 have it on DVD...i rememeber seeing it in the theater..multiple times..gut wrenching...who knows...

This movie is a straight up classic. I love A.Hopkins in this movie. It is a bit of a sad one not scary at all. But it is a good family flick.

My sister and I were allowed at the movies for watching this film the same day of my birthday
(13 years old),by 06/1977...my sister was almost 16,and we really loved ''Audrey Rose''.
What I never understood,was that when I was 14,wasn't allowed to watch ''Grease''
...and we are talking about a musical film,for God's sake!!
