I second you r2, I've seen people with FL Studio and no hardware to their name...lots of other plugins and soundfonts though..and I know someone who has Motif ES8, Korg Triton, MPC2000 and an ASR-10..and the FL user can make the same quality beats...it's about the ideas inside the person behind the music's head...not the equipment

Not true fact is if you listen to a fl studio beat compared to a motif or meko or even a fantom keyboard (in person cd quality in studio monitors) you can hear a big difference in sound quality. I think fl studio beats sound good but lack a certain punch that these keyboards pack. Also if your making music on fl studio without a keyboard just solely using the mouse i cant give credit to those type of beatmakers cause clicking on a mouse really requires no skill or talent just my opinion...
