Islam is no different from Christianity or Judeism. It can't be. It originates from Judeism and Christianity. Withouth those two Islam wouldn't even exist. You really think that the prophet came up with all the ideas on his own? The more you study it and its history the more you will realise "Different package, same contents, same consequences". For every good person you meet in one religion there is a bad one. In every religion, no exception.
@imagomagus Islam is the same message of Monotheism that God has sent down before. Therefore it should not be something alien to you. The Quran is different from the old/new testament in that it is complete and will never be changed(as the torah and bible have been).
@imagomagus We don't believe that Muhammed PBUH wrote the Quran(he was in fact illiterate, which is actually one of the miracles of the Quran. There is no way an illiterate man could write the Quran without divine intervention), but that it was sent down to him from God through the angel Gabriel. This is a great story! As a Christian, I'm disappointed in the pastors that he talked to. However, wow! The hospitality of the Islamic Brothers is just amazing! I don't care what religion you are, if you're as hospitable as that then you're a Man of God in my book!

Every question he asked esp the end part is in the bible, Its unfortunate that he turned away from Christianity because of his friends offering there opinions.

Man i am such a bad person, I am caught up in between this shitty sinful life I live but yet at night time I research and watch videos about Islam and ask for forgiveness from Allah. Then the next day I go right back into my sinful ways of making money in illegal ways and not being a good person. I hope one day I can be on the straight path and that Allah guides me to it. I think He already has at this point but my own choices are what is leading me straight to hell. Ridiculous.

The best way to start is to say the 5 times prayers PUNCTUALLY. This is the first step and COMPULSORY ONE - since we'll be questioned about prayers first after death.

This person gets their info from another person, and that person from another person. See the pattern? The Qur'an speaks of heaven as the land of milk and honey. A lot of conversions happen when a religious group starts love-bombing a person who is particularly vulnerable after some tragedy. This man doesn't understand that we're SUPPOSED to interpret on our own - God gave us free will and reason!
His descriptions of religions are ignorant & offensive, not funny at all. Especially the terrible reference about Hinduism. Only a macho douchebag who is not truly searching would be so superficial, and fail to see the beauty of all these faith traditions.

And his experience of conversion is no different than those to many, many, many other faiths. There's nothing special about his journey to Islam, but he implies otherwise.

The best way to start is to say the 5 times prayers PUNCTUALLY. This is the first step and COMPULSORY ONE - since we'll be questioned about prayers first after death.

@23iman23 You're human, not bad, not good. You can choose to do good, but that's where it ends. If someone says they know there's a god, they get their info from another person. This person gets their info from another person, and that person from another person. See the pattern? The Qur'an speaks of heaven as the land of milk and honey. Milk and honey was probably very precious in the time period that book was written (by man) wasn't it. Seems like a good way to control someone if you ask me.

THIS RIDICULOUS CHRISTIAN STORY is wholly unneccessary and logically inconsistent if not logically impossible. He sacrificed himself to himself to make himself forgive us for sins committed against himself that he knew we would commit before he even created us. The whole thing just wont stand up to even the casual scrutiny of a child.

This was indeed a test for the brother to see if he had overcome his arrogance, but the Quran tells us that even Abraham asked for a sign "to set my heart at rest" (2:260). It is not wrong to ask for signs, but we cannot ask God for specific signs ie do this or make that happen etc. God does things at His pleasure and in His way.
