  • FANTASTIC FLYING. As most of us, I would like to fly that good someday. Any tips for us? I do have a question for you. I noticed you were using thumb and index finger on the joy sticks. Do you think that is the best way to learn? Keep it up sir, really enjoy watching you fly. Leo

  • Thanks for your kind comment! I'm afraid I don't have any specific tips for you, but what really helped me getting started was finding good and nice pilots who shared their knowledge with me. They helped me with all the technical stuff which gave me a lot of confidence. Concerning my stick control method, I think every pilot should fly what they are most comfortable with. Personally I don't like the "thumbs-on-the-sticks" method as it doesn't give me the steering precision that I want.

  • Unbelievable good flying, congats man but I just cannot belief that you learned to fly like this in 5 weeks. I've been flying my 450 for about 3 month and I just make 8th and those foreward. Wish I get where you are right now someday :-)

  • Thanks! I've flown a couple of 4-ch coaxial helis and the Hirobo SRB Quark (small fixed-pitch heli) before, so at this point I was not a complete "noob" ;-)

You may want to check out my other videos as well ... ;-)

  • Hey Olli.

    Are you doing 3D too?

If so do you have a Video on the net?

    Danke :-)

  • No, I'm not good enough to fly 3D yet ... ;-)

I currently fly basic aerobatics maneuvers like loops, turns, rolls as well as reverse flight (which is kind of 3D, I guess). You can find all of my vids on my youtube channel. Thanks!

  • Very, very nice. I just bought a T-rex 450, I had a heli-max axe cp, it kept breaking down on me without me even crashing, hopefully I can get a lot of practice in flying the T-rex and get as good as you.

  • Thanks! Yes, the T-Rex is a very nice heli ... so good luck for your flying :-)

  • This is just wonderful...relaxed and controlled in every singel minute. Congratulation! :-)

  • Thanks very much! ;-)

  • I'm just getting into flying rc helis, i hope to be as good as you some day, any suggestions on a good starter?

  • that is the best trex 450 video i have seen..many hours to get that good.....

  • Thank you, much appreciated!

  • Now thats really nice my eyes can actually follow all the moves!! Congratulations on a very polished routine at the moment I can only dream of flying like that. If there were 6 stars I'd give em'

  • Thanks for your kind comment! ;-)

  • Very graceful flying indeed,5 stars from me.Know thats how its done

  • Thanks! ;-)

jopin to get that good :-)

  • Great flying! Can you please let me know which equipment you use (servos, gyro,...)? Because I want to buy a T-Rex 450 SE V2 in a couple of weeks.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Thanks! ;-) Here is the equipment of my T-Rex: Align 430 XL motor (now Scorpion 2221-8 V2) Kontronik Jazz 55-6-18 ESC Hitec HS-65HB servos GY-401 gyro Futaba S9257 tail servo Align CFK blades Futaba FF7 2.4 GHz transmitter R617FS receiver Hope this helps ... ;-)
  • Thanks for the quick reply!

  • Great flying. This is one of the better 6ch helicopters that size. Thats what I fly and its the only helicopter, had 3 before, that I can fly. Highly recommended for first timers just take the time to set up the head correctly.

  • Wow - very stabil indeed, U even try the "Walk_the_Dog" from Krause :)

Only five weeks U say - but surely this is not your first heli? :)

I'm about to change from 4 - 6 ch now and the T-rex is between the cantidates.

    Good video as well.

  • Thanks for your kind comment! Yes, I have been flying other helis before - a couple of simple 4-ch coax helis and the great Hirobo SRB Quark ... ;-)

  • very stabil flight. nice

  • Thanks! ;-) Yes, the model flies much smoother than I had expected before ...
