  • Can you tell me.which Software is used in this video...

    youtube.com/watch?v=SGGV6e9kp3c

And Can i use Final Cut pro Like this Video....

  • Thanks for the help, it's a great video!!! :-)

  • Dude you are a God!

  • Thanks for the help.

  • Thanks! Concisely and well explained!

  • Very good video, but I have one question: when I drag the entire sequence into the 4:3 timeline, it works. But when I copy and paste the sequence (to adjust each take separately), it automatically crops the 16:9 to 4:3. The "Do you want to... y/n"-window doesn't even pop up. Help!!

  • This is a good workflow, but what happens with the quality of the image when you blow up the original HD footage to fit in 4:3 without letterboxing?

  • Thanks, the steps were easy to follow.. HOWEVER< I "nested" my entire sequence (thanks to JayMichigan's post) before pasting in a new sequence but some of my fonts are still no title safe... otherwise, the multi-layered graphics work. Do I need to go back in the 16 x 9 original and move those titles?

  • @gabedeclan great question... yes you will need to go back into the sequence you nested to fix your titles. But that should be as easy as just double clicking the nested sequence in your timeline. Once you make the changes in that sequence you should be good to go.

  • this was a huge help! thanks! you did a fantastic job explaining...

  • ONE IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION!!!

Videos with loads of titles, special effects or layered elements should be treated more carefully when being copied & pasted. If the shot you have relies on multiple stacked layers lining-up correctly, or if it's an HD shot that uses GPU effects, you've got to NEST those shots *FIRST*. (Menu>Sequence>Nest Item(s)...)

Really, any shot that isn't a complete 16:9 frame will behave unexpectedly if you paste new scale values onto them. To prevent issues, NEST. :)

  • Dude. Thanks. I've faved this video. Everyone should see this.

  • I learned several methods to convert 16:9 to 4:3 but yours was by far the most sensible and easiest. But is it better to convert in FCP, or convert in Compressor, or possibly in DSP?

  • Thank you Brandon!! After days and days and tutorials after tutorials, you come along and explain the whole SIMPLE process in one short video!! THANK YOU!

  • @billmeyer glad I could help :)

  • Thanks. I knew there had to be be an easier way to accomplish this.
