Jackson Browne's tribute to and summation of every aspect of live performance: the cheering audience out front, the band playing hard-nosed rock & roll, the backstage crew loading up the trucks, always, the road to the next town ~ he tells us he doesn't ever want it to end! Nor do we, Mr, Brown ~ nor do we!!!
This man is timeless...great tunes and brings back the memories of the 70's ever so clearly - when time was innocent and nothing was rude about music. Mr. Browne is truly a living legend. Thank GOD he was inducted into the R & R Hall of fame in 2004. He so totally deserved it.
Nobody can, or ever will for that matter, be able to top Rosemary Butler's performance with Jackson Brown in London, 1978--She's a difficult, impossible maybe, act to follow.
this is his way of appreciating the people who put his shows together..and his audience.. and what life is like when touring, as a musician..stuff we do not realize or think about. They are human, too and they work hard for those couple of hours they get to play and enjoy their audience. I love when he plays this old song..and he always has awesome back-up singers to really make it the best encore song ever!! Everyone always leaves his shows smiling when he does this song!!
Awesome...I got to see JB in concert when he first did this song and it was as AMAZING then and it appears now...the mans got it...Thanks for posting!!!
@bleedblue83 Yeaph, I guess you could say that if you judge my age from seeing JB in person at that time ... LOL!!! Regardless, it was awesome as where the other 3 times I saw him in concert.
@SallysFine Your not old Sally! I was there with you back in 78-79 when this came out. Right there with you. These youngers are just jelous, that all they have to listen to today is crap. They did not have the artists that we were priviliged to be able to grow up with. We had so many outstanding artist to chose from. Today they have just junk not one artist that has the staying power of our generation artist have. Hell the Stones are still better than anything out there.
I'm been a JB fan since the mid 70s, have all his stuff (paid for at real store) but I have to say I was not impressed with the concert. Lot of off chords, missed notes (you can hear them in this vid too)and I guess I expected better. The band was not tight and the sound was muddy poorly mixed. Before you slam my head against the wall understand, JB is a fantastic artist and a living legend but I don't think this new group was ready to tour yet. Thanks for posting vid though Dave...
How old is JB? He looks so young!!

I can barely hear the music over all the clapping, whistling, and cheering by the audience. Was this a concert attended by morons? :(

I agree with you, he's one fine artist, but the soundtechnician is truly bad, it sounds like he's trying to bleep out some words in the song ;)
