I have the J. Lawrence Cook version of this song and well... it is what it is and not the same spunk as Robinson.

Cook was a darned good arranger but from the mid 1960's to the end of his tenure at QRS he was slipping and jazzing around too much. When he cut those roles for Aeolian he seemed to back to his familiar style again.

There are a number of very good Cook rolls out there where he mimicked Wendling and Robinson quite well. I just don't happened to have any of them.
