This is why you don't call players busts after only 2 seasons. McFadden had a really good year, and he can only improve if he stays healthy. Remember he's only 23.
Darren McFadden isn't a bust, especially now since he's playing well. But at the time he was drafted he was only 20 years old, very young for the NFL. Most RBs Drafted in the NFL are about 22-23 yrs old. Dmac is 23 now, and he's doing well. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but it obviously is something to think about.

Only back who is even in APs league when it comes to pure physical ability as a runner and DMC is one of the most complete backs in the league as well. Darren McFadden isn't a bust, especially now since he's playing well. But at the time he was drafted he was only 20 years old, very young for the NFL. Most RBs Drafted in the NFL are about 22-23 yrs old. Dmac is 23 now, and he's doing well. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but it obviously is something to think about.

you're right. McFadden is good. He just has no blocking. Now russell is bad but has shown some good moments. I personally think russell has been lazy. But Mcfadden is good. Davis keeps drafting offensive speedy players and no one to block for them.

if i were the raiders i would draft Eric Berry. They have talent on the offense with Bey, Walker, Gradkowski, and McFadden. Beef up the defense and NEVER EVER EVER start Russel and they can win.

wrong jamarcus sucks because QB who are great legends are mentored. example Jeff Garcia was mentored by Steve Young Steve Young was mentored by Joe Montana . other then that you can have a natural touch to the game like Brady. weird how raiders let Garcia go who lead the eagles to playoff

Coming from a Raiders fan for 25+ years...I hope you're not referring to Jamarcus Russell as ''future great''...unless you're talking about his ''great'' size.
I hated the decision to draft him from day one. He has a strong arm. Nothing else. He couldn't hit a reciever if his life depended on it. He can't read defenses. He can't hardly move (scramble). He's dumb as a rock. And he's the ''face'' of our franchise?
