@ATurtleToenail That's not a DVD recorder. It's called DVR because it writes the data to the memory and then the hard drive of the device/computer.

DVD recorders are direct to DVD, no computer needed, like my Panasonic DVD Recorder, insert a DVD, (any type of DVD, I use DVD-RAM discs, reuse 100,000 times) and hit record and play video games, or watch television, and stop recording and the video is on DVD and can be watched or edited on that DVD player or computer or anything for that matter.

@LongDieseldog you need a microphone for that... unless your talking in Gamechat, if your doing commentaries i would buy a mic, or just go to your party chat with no people in it and talk from there.

recording quality is much greater than the plus, but if your on a budget go with the plus, it's convenient and the quality is good.

@dudeofleeds1 about a week ago i wudd have said maybe, but now im positive that you should, the key to great quality is the settings, look around on youtube for people who have good settings and see if the quality of there videos game vids and see if tht the one u want.

i had the problem too, its the settings, all you do is go to up to the main tabs up top and click "setup" then click "Video and Audio preferences"

once u open tht make sure ur on the tabe that says "Capture source" under that it should say "no auto scene detection", click on tht and it should stop makin soo many scenes/files

i got the same exact one..i plugged my av splitters into my tv, w/xbox cables n double RCA cables 1 into splitter, 1 into dazzle, and when i open up the recording studio, the screen is black on my tv, and on the computer but i can here the sound, pls help me!
