  • b is the winner for me

  • Guitar A or B - Both sound pretty good and close.

  • I vote for Guitar B clip whichever that was, thought that sounded closest. Cheers Jonas

  • @JonasSweden1 - Thanks for the vote! Guitar B was the Epiphone SG.

  • Revealed:

Guitar A = Gretsch 5120 Electromatic hollow body

    Guitar B = Epiphone Limited 1966 G-400 SG

Guitar C = Ampeg AMG100 Dan Armstrong wooden body

I continue to be surprised and impressed with the character of this inexpensive Ampeg AMG100. The lone bridge humbucker has plenty of bite and sounds a lot like a Gibson SG Classic. Sam Ash Direct still has these puppies on sale for $269 bucks. Seriously, a great price for a great guitar.

  • Ok ok, you got me on that... hehehe... in my opinion the guitar C sounded closest.

Did you see that I sent you my email to your mailbox (you tube) ?

  • I think the Gretsch 5120 is more close to the original sound, but could be better if you open more the sound or less middle. JPFB

  • @jpfbsp How do you know which one is the Gretsch 5120? The guitar sound clips in the video are not the same sequence that I've listed them in the description. I did that on purpose so that someone listening won't know which guitar is which.

Which one did you think sounded closest? Guitar A, B or C?
