Unfortunatly Solar is currently under political attack by the Ministry of Lobbyism of the current conservative/neo-liberal Government.
But despite that reactionary political attack & increasing favourism for big energy utilitizes, PV-Solar now produces about 4.000 to 11.000 MW during Peakload hours (noon) every day... in winter.... that's 6-17% of peakload production.
It will propably reach 20+ GW in summer... I guess quite some gas-turbines & hard coal plants will stand still next summer.
