  • celebrity gossip religion

  • this song sounds a lot like elastica

    I miss those bands

  • First Garbage song that I heard (maybe it was the first single? haha)... and I became an instant fan back in '95!

  • Ahead of their time. ! I've been a follower since early 2000!! I Luv U gyz!

  • why do i always forget, is she irish or scottish, I think Scottish? me thinks? ne one knoe?

  • why wasn't I a teenager in the 90's? Seriously, I have to be one now? Why? Music sucks.-_- I'm so jealous of you 90's teens. All of my favourite movies/Shows, and of course music are from the 90's. You guys were really lucky!

  • @BinkaMinka Wow, I feel exactly the same way :)

  • @klonboy Music, Tv, and Movies peaked in the 90's and they're going downhill too fast. -_-

lol even my teachers say I should've been born in the 80's because of how much I love the 90's.

  • @BinkaMinka

Yep. But, if anything, it shows that one does not have to adapt to what's popular. It shows that we always have the option of making our own scene. ;)

  • @TheCanadianPrairies true, I do like the odd modern thing. But nothing mainstream. Mostly like indie movies and really unkown bands. XD Still though I would've loved to experience the vibe of the 90's, actually in the 90's instead of trying to recreate it. XD It's still good, just not the same. :/

  • @BinkaMinka

Yep. We sure did have gems back in the day. From Shirley Manson and her team to those rowdy boys from Seattle (RIP Kurt and Layne!)....and even RAP sounded not that half bad! Can you imagine that on today's radio? Bah!

But there's still good music out there today. All you gotta do is look. Check out Sophie Ellis Bextor/Alizee for good pop, European labels for good metal, and the classics for if you don't care about genres and age and just want a jolly good time!

  • @BinkaMinka You're wise beyond your years, my friend. Most things were better in the 90s :)

  • @schoolybear1 XD Even my teachers have started telling me I shouldve been a 90s teen. Oh well, Im happy enough pretending its the 90s!

  • @BinkaMinka That's awesome. Keep it up, and get your friends into the 90s too!

  • @BinkaMinka I didn't properly discover Garbage til I left high school in 2004 so I know what you mean, but you can still enjoy them loads even out of the 90's. Just sad I missed the opportunity to go see their concerts etc.

  • @BinkaMinka I'm so grateful I was :).

  • @BinkaMinka lol, you make me feel old, but yes we were very lucky!! I wouldn't trade my teen years in the 90s for the crap today!!

  • @MissKnowItAll26 Hear,Hear! I'm 29 and I absolutely still immerse myself with 90s nostalgia! We were so lucky!

  • @RavenOctober616 Lol, I am obviously rocking it still, getting ready to turn 29 8O) I <3 90's music!!

  • @BinkaMinka I am still stuck in those times...they really were great. :)

  • @BinkaMinka I agree that we (those of us who were teens in the 90s) were lucky in a lot of ways. The economy was better too, and there was a lot more general optimism about the future than there is now. But there was also a dark side to it all. A lot of the organic, guitar-laden sound of 90s music came from a place of despair too, and one reason it resonated with a lot of people who were teens then was because there was a strange, pervasive sense of darkness and sadness too.

  • @BinkaMinka Ah, the sweet nineties. :)

  • @BinkaMinka There was just as much crap as today, you still had to dig for the gems and couldn't rely too much on radio and TV - although I'll admit MTV wasn't too bad back then. And without the Internet, it could be tough finding the gems. Having to wait for weeks before you could buy one particular album, just because your local store didn't have it, wasn't easy either.

  • Hundredth like. ;)
