  • Inspirals were from Oldham, say no more lol

  • funny to see madchester bands in retrospective. seemed more like a lad subcutlrure than the shoegazers, who fit more an indie bill

  • Who'd have thought Steve Coogan's brother would write such a classic tune like this. Awesome stuff.

  • i loved the word, they had real bands......

  • just a shame terry the tool christian was involved!

  • im glad im listining to other baggy bands other than the roses and the mondays

  • Had many a FRiday night watching the Word - always great entertainment, and witnessed the best live performance on it when Whiteout made a (failed) bid for world domination!! If the programme had a fault - it was editing out great fuckin tunes like this!!

  • Feels like only yesterday I was grooving to this down the local indie club - but looking at the outfits the audience are wearing - I think maybe I'm really old and it was years and years ago...

  • Ver good. Pity they cut it before the solo - would have liked to have heard that live. He was just building up to it.

  • can you dig it oh yeh,can you dig it oh yeh class

  • ace love the mock turtles brings back great memories of the early 90s,these were a class band

  • Respect to them being a decent band and playing live, not like so many mimers in this era.

  • who mines now??? as in y'know 'bands'...not kiddie rubbish who mimed back then as well.

  • @johnthemonk

i take it, you never played an instrument in your life then?

  • Has anyone ever told you you're a twat Hufftika?

  • This song inspired me to start learning bass guitar - amazing riff!

  • I have a half inch reel of Ampex 406 liberated from PAsrish Bowman with Steve Coogan doing a Sylvester Stalonne impersonation and Judge Hapiines doing 20th Century Boy - is this a record?

  • Reminds me of them rubbish adverts for Vodacrap
