disband the police let the streets run the streets honest to god the police wasent invented for your benefit they were invented for them afraid of losing it all. E i got a crown of thorn
Real funkin sad they make them cut their own song down to fit the tv show, then still cut short of the guitar solo. Channel 4 producers back then had no idea about music !!!
Had many a FRiday night watching the Word - always great entertainment, and witnessed the best live performance on it when Whiteout made a (failed) bid for world domination!! If the programme had a fault - it was editing out great fuckin tunes like this!!
Feels like only yesterday I was grooving to this down the local indie club - but looking at the outfits the audience are wearing - I think maybe I'm really old and it was years and years ago...
I have a half inch reel of Ampex 406 liberated from PAsrish Bowman with Steve Coogan doing a Sylvester Stalonne impersonation and Judge Hapiines doing 20th Century Boy - is this a record?

funny to see madchester bands in retrospective. seemed more like a lad subcutlrure than the shoegazers, who fit more an indie bill

Who'd have thought Steve Coogan's brother would write such a classic tune like this. Awesome stuff.

Ver good. Pity they cut it before the solo - would have liked to have heard that live. He was just building up to it.
