  • she needs dancing shoe metal

  • Mary said that this was her favorite production number that she and dick did together :] her favorite episode is My Blonde Haired Brunette and her second favorite is The Curious Thing About Women which is my favorite!

  • now that's one cute girl !

  • I love the sublety of Mary's performance, the initial hostility moving to a degree of respect to anger.

  • two people didn't get their feet stepped on

  • f me she is gorgeous.

  • Cutest, funniest, sexiest couple TV has ever had. (:

  • Lucky girl...

  • Great legs

  • @BostonGarden one of MTM's first "appearances", we only saw her legs and heard her voice.

  • they're so cute together, I can't stand it. In his autobio, Dick confessed to a mutual, but alas unrequited, crush between the two.

  • Mary Tyler Moore sure was a looker

  • I love those two.....

  • Rob and Laura had, I believe, six duets: This one; the Christmas episode; "Harmony"; "I've Got Your Number"; "Carolina in the Morning":; and "Mountain Greenery" (the last is the only one that was singing-only, no dancing). All six can be found on youtube. (Note: There was one more -- the "Doodlin' Song" -- but it was a trio, with a non-recurring character joining in).

  • I love this video, but he didnt really step on her foot. Drama Queen. hahahaha jk. <3

  • This was so wonderfully performed, I almost cried! Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore are beyond talented!

  • 2:25 NOW I understand how babies are made!!

  • I forgot how beautiful she was!

  • "Why do you hate me"? "Doesn't Everyone"? Just funny stuff, but that's just great quality from the awesome cast of The Dick Van Dyke Show. I always enjoyed whenever Rob and Laura sang together. Just outstanding!

  • This is REAL music :D real entertainment

  • too cute!! :)

  • Two people are very mistaken

  • This is one of my favorite scenes from Dick Van Dyke. I love this! Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke are wonderful! Dick Van Dyke still melts my heart! Thanks for posting this!

  • I love this!!

Could someone upload Carolina In The Morning?

  • THIS IS JUDY AND GENE'S SONG! HOW CUTE! I like Judy and Gene and Dick and Mary both doing this song. It's so cute!! Thanks so much for posting!

  • Dick never had a dance lesson in his life. he claims he just "picked it up". this is why that man is amazing

  • Wonderful indeed.

  • When Rob and Laura sang "Carolina in the Morning", I thought that was about the best rendition of that song I've ever heard. This is an awesome version of this song, and quality shows like this give a person the chance to learn some really beautiful and meaningful songs. Thanks for posting!

  • Dick didn't REALLY want to step on Mary's foot, so he pretended to do so at 1:50 [probably against Carl Reiner's stage direction- "Make it REAL", he might have said to Dick]. Only an eagle-eyed viewer would have noticed that...

  • I like this version better than the Judy Garland/Gene Kelly version.

  • this is GREAT!

but Mary Tyler Moore is no Judy Garland when it comes to vocals...

  • @westsidestory97 No. But MTM was a good dancer, great entertainer and very very sexy.

  • @cunnidvd I agree completely. But Judy is possibly the greatest all-around performer in American history. And she's MAGIC with Gene Kelly. Together, the two cant be beat.

Oh, and Gene Kelly is very, very, VERY sexy.

  • @westsidestory97 I wouldn't know about Gene Kelly, but I like your user name. Lots of magic there between Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer and one of my favorite vocalists of all time Marnie Nixon.

  • @cunnidvd Haha, why thank you! (: West Side Story is positively my favorite musical of all time. My entire life's goal is to play Anita on Broadway. And Im not sure if you knew this, but Nat and Richard didnt get along at ALL in real life! It just shows you how great of actors they both are. Natalie is drop dead gorgeous. <3

  • I can't stop watching this, it's so amazing, and perfect.

Definitely better than the Judy Garland version.

  • the great Mary Tyler Moore.....

  • he didn't even step on her foot!

  • Thank you SO much for this clip!! They are fantastic...I had no idea that Mary Tyler Moore had such a great voice!!!

  • I love how Sol Polmeroy his friend just throws the iron at the end lolol

  • sol & the sponsor was a great one too where he brings over that chick with the sequin dress, they sing this song too!

  • is it just me or does sutton foster channel some of mary tyler moore?

  • This is so cool... thanks for posting.

Do you happen to have "Mountain Greenery" that the Petrie's did in an episode? I loved their version, and haven't seen it in ages.

  • It's in the episode The Allen Brady Show Presents, the episode is on youtube in three parts.

  • @BtonMan75 "Mountain Greenery" is here on YT. If you need help finding it, let me know. You're right. They do an awesome job on that song.

  • this version is more relaxed then the other one with Judy and Gene.

  • I can't choose between the two! I love em both equally! haha..this version is so adorable.. i didnt even know there were other versions! thanks for posting! :)

  • this version is the best.

  • Thanks for posting this, this is a sweet song!

  • I love that version! Dick van Dyke rocks. As much as I love Gene Kelly and Judy Garland...I might just like this one better!

  • I love this version and Dick! I adore Gene and Judy to death, but I agree this version is better.
