Not bad. I got some chills at points. When I recite it I pick up the tempo slowly and imperceptibly until it is literally racing at the end, climactic, as I think it should be.

Try one where the tempo picks up, and take the metric pauses as indications of where you should sound out of breath from panting.

Then again, pretty-much everything that's ever been on the CMI label has been extremely good.

Interesting but completely misses the mark in regards to the essence of the Hymn to Pan. The Hymn to Pan is intended to be recited with fervency and passion at a moderately fast pace. And should be injected with light and joy and love and lust. Not brooding tones and darkness.

With all due respect, the interruption of the Hymn to Pan is personal. Not everyone sees Pan in the same cookie-cutter image as the Golden Dawn and OTO.

However you'd like to recite it is fine. There is no sense in telling others that they're wrong for performing and viewing it differently than you.

I believe that you meant 'interpretation' not 'interruption'. Sure, recite it as one may, however if one intends on invoking or evoking said deity, its best to recite it in the manner which pleases that deity the most. Which in this case is fervent, passionate, lustful and joyful. But I agree that ones interpretation differs from anothers, after all 'Do what thou wilt...' And I never said that they were wrong, just ineffective in the execution. 'Love is the Law'

Thank you for correcting my mistake :] I must have misunderstood your last two lines of the original post. I have used a semi-dark and somewhat brooding invocation for Pan for the past few years and have had nothing but success. Oh well.
