i have a question I am able to solo nightmare at the ruins on normal should i do this 1 in group or should i stick with ruins?

Are there any things that I should be afraid of starting this game? Microtransactions to death? Hard restrictions? PvP is good or not?

1. Microtransactions: Mostly, no. However, if you want to do some optional endgame content (Boat 6+ Hero difficulty), you need a weapon that is enhanced to +10 or higher, which is INSANELY hard to get without spending money. Other than that, you can get by quite easily without spending money.

2. No restrictions (not entirely sure what you mean by this). Anyone can play, anyone can do any content.

3. PvP - Some people enjoy it. I think it's worthless shit.

Game is a bit repetitive.

why are they running against the wall

How to describe it...Basically, when you run into a wall in this game (and other Source games), the wall forces you to move along itself.

Due to a quirk in how it is coded, instead of going at normal speed, you run much faster the better the angle you run into the wall (running into a wall at a perfect 45 degree angle doubles your movement speed).

It's easier to avoid Irukul with this, though not necessary if you have a Fiona to halt him while you progress.
