  • What did you do to the motor to get 500 horse?

  • You just showed me how stupid you are. Big deal you can smoke the tires

  • @kennethrobinson11231 someone wishes they could smoke the tires in a car they dont have..

  • 69 is not necessarily a better number, but certainly a great year. :)

  • @Ttop50ryda 510 ft/lbs.

  • i hate it when people get a buick skylark but a gsx body on it and sell it as a gsx

  • @Ttop50ryda yup 510 ft/lbs to be exact

  • good,... no dislikes...

  • The Stage 1s came with 510 ft lbs of torgue. I think the HP was 370.

  • and i tough buick was bad...

  • It has Hooker headers, 3" pipes back (no cats, obviously, and the mufflers are called Warlocks, which have exhaust cut outs built into them for the track. In this video the cut-outs were out. When they are in, it has a much lower tone, similar to Borla.

  • thats one mean gsx you have

  • whats the exhaust? headers? mufflers?

  • Yeah what is the exhaust on that thing it sound fuckin sweet Borlas maybe?

  • I'm glad you have buy the tires.

  • didnt even work hard to do it....big buick torque, baby!!!

  • I love the hand gestures!

  • 510 at 2600 rpm to be exact.

  • dude,your mad!!!

  • WOW!!!!!! Nice, nice, nice!!!!

  • so badass. just so... so... badass...

  • @Ttop50ryda 510ft lbs

  • @cheeverracing89 Buick has always believed in torque, I owned a 65 GranSport which came with the old 401 nailhead under the hood. The 401 was rated at just 325 hp but had 445 lb/ft of torque! I think it was someone at Chrysler that said something like "horsepower sells cars, torque wins races"

  • @tripleJ1955 my grandpa owned a 65 GS new with the 401, he was the first one in the county with one and was sponsored by buick in 65... i think he said it was running in the high 11s in the 1/4

  • hahahahaha this is fucking great!

  • Nice burnout. I have a 70 GS455 Conv.

  • it isnt a buick gsx. at least not a 1970 model.

  • I got a 69 Special Deluxe w/ a 250. Nice lookin car man. Love the color. SOUNDS BEASTLY

  • Yeah, baby !

That is what i am talking about !

    Mike

    Buicknut

  • 70' Buick GSX - Best car ever made.

  • @jasonmit no boattail riviera is

  • Your car just gave me a boner.

  • love that car, have my one in guatemala city check my video.

  • haha oh yes, i love the 455 Buicks, definatly the all time sleepers of the muscle car world, even when a thorough bred muscle car guy thinks about muscle they usually think Camaro, Chevelle, Charger, Challenger, Cuda, Mustang, GTO, but rarely do you ever hear Buick come up, which is really surprising, these beasts put out amazing torque (yeah that comment below was right, around 520 or so i believe) and yet if one pulled up beside you you might never know the beast that lurkes inside xD awsome

  • I agree 100%. Buick is my favorite. GSX is the ultimate car for me. My uncle has a 65 Rivera with the 425 nailhead. He has it cammed up, two big 4 barrels, MSD ignition...thats it. For a big car it hauls ass! I smoked a Nissan Maxima with it! He claims it makes about 490lb feet, with just shy of 400hp at the wheel from the dyno!!

  • posi ftw. No one tire fire for him!

  • The GS455 was rated at 370 hp and 510 ft lbs of torque. I forgot what rpm the 370 hp was from but the 510 ft lbs of torque was at only 2800.

  • @meangreen69Nova

370 hp was the std 455 4bbl engine they had at 4800 rpm.... without heads or better cam profile....Were talking 420 or more for the gs or gsx.............

  • Notice how Buicks tend to send tires up in smoke quicker than just about anything else...that's the power of torque baby! And torque is what moves you...provided you can get it to the ground!

  • Holy SHIT!!!! I love Buicks

  • HOLY FUCK THATS A SICK RIDE!

  • now thats a burnout

  • Just saw your video, where did you buy this car and how long ago? I built a buick identical to this one and sold it (regrettably) back in the mid to late 90's.

  • how much will gsx cost now?

  • i checked on a perfect one, prolly way too high but $125,000

  • nice day two look

  • omg i love the this car sooooooo much 70 gsx's r sooooo sexy

  • I need one of those...

  • just great!!!!

  • is that a manual or an automatic and if it's a manual is it a muncie or a hurst and if it's a muncie is it a m-21 or an m-22 or if it's a hurst is it a h-34 or an h23 please please reply

  • Don't stand on the brake. Just stab it and see what it will do

  • sweet

  • I love the rake the car has. What size wheels and tires do you have on the front and back?

  • im gonna make my 350 500 hp

  • do it, however you wont get the torque down low like you will a 455, NO WAY

  • i love 455's

  • Ha man that was great. cant wait till i get my clone up and running.

  • you should definitely make a vid i would love to see it!! what year is it?

  • same here dude how much work does yours have because putting mine at small detail my gas tank is in the cab with no seats

  • Correct, over 500ftlbs of torque at 2200RPM. The only rivaling engine was the Cadillac 500cui, but that weighed fucking twice as much.

  • the cadillac engines weigh as much as a small block chevy because of the iron deposits in the block or something like that. i learned that from a hotrod issue where they put a 500 in a chevette. 1970 cadillac 500 400 hp 550 ft lb of torque. maybe you meant the cadillacs are tanks i dunno. not trying to be mr wizard here by the way.

  • damn jay that thing is ALOT LOUDER now

  • FUCKIN A!!!!!!!!!

  • as for automotive eras, nothing compares to the muscle car days in the U.S. NOTHING !!! awesome buick !!! :)

  • how did u get ur hands on a GSX wow, luckiest guy in the world right there

  • I think WIZ is right about the color combos but who cares. I for one am sick of all the trueborn/clone horseshit. If I go buy a freakin 318 Cuda and put a 426 hemi in it it will be just at good and just as fun as one that came off the line that way, just not worth 5 mill because it's not original. These cars were built for fun and excitement not bickering about protect o plates and whether or not someone painted their car or rims or whatever. Nice car nice burnout. "Original" can fuck off.

  • Man....gotta love those Hemi killing GS's and GSX's!! Just ask Roy Badie, lol.

  • No in 1970 they came in ONLY 2 colors, Saturn Yellow and Apollo white. 1971 and 1972 were available in different colors including black with gold stripes.

  • I think it's a beautiful car. I'm jealous, cause I would kill to have that. I would actually prefer not to have an original GSX. That way, I wouldn't feel so bad for beating on her like I know I would. Roast them tires! Good luck! I'm sure you get a lot of looks, driving that thing around...

  • Nice that cam was THUMPIN!

  • u could also get them in black

  • No you could not also get a 1970 GSX in black. They came in Saturn Yellow or Apollo White ONLY.

  • No, they also came in bamboo cream.

  • cool!

  • Unless it's been repainted a different color, that's NOT a GSX. 1970 GSX's only came in Saturn Yellow and Apollo White. Which leads me to my next question, if it is a GSX, why on earth would you paint it a different color other than the original? There were only 678 GSX's made in 1970. It would be worth a mint if in original color. I highly doubt this is one of them.

  • Who cares. go change the oil on your geo metro

  • Ad in paper: 1970 Buick GSX for sale.

You: Awesome. I think I'll go buy it.

    Then you get there.

You: But this is a 1989 Ford van.

Owner of said GSX: Who cares. Give me the money.

  • My old man owns a Q-Q 70 X and a 70 Stage 1. Who gives a fuck what this guy calls his car....skylark, GSX, whatever. The point of this video is, he has a good lookin Buick and knows how to roast the tires in it.

  • HAHAHAHA, love you

  • Another original color is bamboo cream

  • bitchin I love it

  • Was it repainted or something? GSX's only came in Saturn Yellow and Apollo White for the 1970 model year.

  • nice car dude but thts a clone of a buick gsx and if tht is real its been painted

  • nice
